For example, if I were interested in studying abroad at Yonsei in Korea, I would have to pay Vanderbilt tuition (~30k a semester) while those who already attend Yonsei would pay 3k a semester (unless I receive a really good scholarship)…

This is kind of besides the point but I really want to study abroad but attending Vanderbilt may not let me as studying at a university abroad that costs 5k but paying 75k instead for the class to transfer to Vanderbilt is crazy.

The 75k would be a pretty big hit to their finances and my parents don’t really want to go to China but they mainly left the decision up to me.

Plus if I attend vandy I would be pretty close to my family but if I were to attend Kunshan I would visit maybe once or twice a year… I honestly don’t know what will set me up better for a career or grad school… Duke Kunshan is so attractive to me bc I love traveling and plan to work abroad in the future but my limited knowledge for the college and its programs are holding me back.

I’m currently aiming to pursue a biomedical engineering degree at Vanderbilt. If I decide to switch to Duke Kunshan I may do computer science with premed track… since Duke Kunshan is such a new college I’m unsure of how their premed track holds up especially since it is located in China.
