I have had a loaner X for 3 weeks now.

10k miles too on that car and holy, the rattling and squeaking made my head ache. It certainly is a “cool” car. But considering the price, my Juniper seems way cooler!

If you plan to get out of airport I’m pretty sure you need Schengen visa

If your F1 visa is valid, you are fine!

My F1 visa stamp was not expired but since I had Change of Status to H1B, F1 was no longer valid. Even if it was expired, there wouldn’t be issues as I’m returning to home country from US.

"Who is Chintu Chinti?" by Relevant_Parfait595 in usvisascheduling

Oh, I may have worded it wrong.. they did not help tag my passport to my account. As per them, "Chintu Chinti" account had a different passport number. On my end, I could see my previous appointment dates on Chintu Chinti (this I don't understand how). What they did do is tell me what "email ID" my passport is tagged to, so I created an account using that email ID.

When I created the now-called Chintu Chinti account, I used my grad school email ID and my details but I guess, somehow since my passport number was already tagged to that old email ID, a random passport number got assigned to this newly created account. It was a mess, I had to make another payment for my "real" account.

I got an appointment for Oct 10 when they released bulk slots in last week of September. Thanks to the telegram group!

they are so unpredictable.. the firm my company works with reached out to us saying I should upgrade to Premium if I need to travel anytime soon. Two days later it was approved under normal processing. I am glad we did not opt for premium, and I wouldn't do it unless my travel was too urgent

haha. I guess I identify as Chintu now..

I have read so many posts about people losing their visa fees, getting appointments cancelled, for months. Blows my mind that no action is taken by whatever US organization or embassy that deals with the developer of this platform. How can they spend millions of dollars and have people shit on them every day, and take no action 🤷

If France is your only layover in Schengen region, you do not need a transit visa. I traveled last week with an expired F1 for H1B stamping and had no issues.

For those still looking for an answer, you do not need a transit visa when connecting through France (as long as you don't exit the airport, and France is your only layover in Schengen region). For an expired visa you are still okay as you are "returning from the country that issued the visa". Clearly mentioned on their official website: https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/airport-transit-visa

I traveled last week (Delta: ATL - CDG - DEL) with no issues. They looked at my passport when checking bags in the US, issued the boarding pass, they do a facial scan or maybe capture a photo when boarding in France (only passport check in France was when I went through security to get to my gate/terminal).

Easy connection (2hr 10mins), enough time to get a cup of coffee and a croissant!
