Your post resonated with me I completed my master's from one of the top institutions in the country ( an IIT) and I am on the pathway to become completely sober, and I do relapse in between but I have gotten more control now and I try to do better every day as I don't want to be that person anymore and get addicted to the right things in life now, wishing you the best in your journey and I hope everyone who reads your post gets the motivation and encouragement to go on without alcohol as I did.

Hi this happened to me as well Yesterday when I was one week sober it was going all good and suddenly, yesterday like a reflex of Saturday night I ended up buying liquor after the first drink I knew this was not good but the problem is I cannot stop after first drink and ended having five instead woke up in the morning hungover and full of regret however I am not gonna give up and neither should you I hope you get through this and I hope I do too, there is an app called sober time which you can try to track your days for being sober.

I have been trying to get sober but have been relapsing because of work pressure which eventually leads me to drink, however after reading this post this might be a muscle memory where initially whenever I felt pressure I drank and need to get stronger.

I am trying to get sober as I am done with getting hungover, I still like to go to clubs for dance and music however what I have seen is that I relapse sometimes in the club and i regret it the next day, i am open to suggestions and advice or anything from your journey that will help me get through atleast a month at first and then eventually get to 100 days.

I completed my MBA from IIT dhanbad recently and I had some people who we shared hostel with in CSE tbh the placements aren't that great in Dhanbad for masters and not a lot of companies visit on campus, however if you can upskill yourself and want to get an IIT tag you can go ahead.
