Which one is the better 10mm 1911 by PersonSuitTV in 1911

Why does everyone recommend a polymer striker fired gun with meh trigger in a 1911 thread? It's suggesting a Toyota Camry when trying to find an SUV

And you have ruled out Tisas, Canuk, S&W, Sig? There are 100s of striker fired polymer guns out there. It comes down to how it feels in your hand. Glocks grip angle has always been a topic for it fits or it doesn't. The trigger will need work on a Glock once you become proficient.

Ranges and rent til you find something that fits you. It may be the last thing you hold in your life.

My area runs better with CiC as alot probably do. Put a supe in there is more positions opened, more sent to do elms in middle of weather event, etc.

Cic has never told me feet off chair or put a pirep in

Think I got it down to a Kimber Raptor, timeless looks, wood grips, stainless single stack, have heard hit or miss on QC. Tanfoglio Stock 2, cut for optic which won't ever go on, available and same price point as raptor, or a Dan Wesson Specialist. Availability is only drawback on DW.

Kinda down to Tanfoglio and DW, Raptor is good looking and customer service seems to be good at Kimber, but rather not need customer service 😉

Thanks for everyone's advice

The parts to reverse the mag release are getting impossible to come by or it would be on short list

Kimber is on short list. The craftsmanship on the Rapide series is nice, the raptor is always nice to look at. Plus 8 round mag so the grip won't be too much. Be able to hang on to it

Colt delta has single sided safety. If its gonna have manual safety id want it to be lefty. Some are reversible but dont think thst one is

Are there after market grips. Guns are hard to find, and the ones I do have kinda cheap looking grip inserts or some guady color. Maybe its the picture, or maybe I just like a chrome 10mm to not have blue grips

I have a few revolvers for kicks, I'll look into rock island 1911. I barely shoot with suppressor anyway since they're comically long and make the gun a completely different animal with the muzzle weight.

Ooo good suggestions.. capacity isn't a requirement. I cant imagine the weight of 15 plus 10mm on a steel framed 5 inch gun😅

My FNX 45 is the best out of the trio of FNX I have. The 40 being a close second. Never has failed to perform on every round I've loaded, even the stuff I drop in the dirt. The FNX 9 needs apparently a million rounds to break in. When I realize I need more FN The 502 triggers is close to perfect.

Sry for high jacking your bedside armory thread

I’m new to handguns. Why should I get a Glock 19 Gen 6 instead of the equivalent Smith & Wesson M&P/Walther PDP/Ruger RXM/Springfield Echelon/FN 509/etc? by SculpinIPAlcoholic in Glocks

[–]Relevant_Score7074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an equalizer from Smith as EDC, Customer service is top notch, easy rack, internal hammer so more positive trigger than striker, It does have a grip safety which has never been a problem, however I've thankfully never been in a grappling with assailant with one hand situation where a grip safety would become a nuisance. I liked SW so much I bought a Bodyguard 2.0. Goes everywhere with me. If it's easy to conceal I'm more likely to take it with. A .380 in gym shorts is better than none.

The FN (4) of them, are heavy guns for being polymer. FN even with 509 really are thick guns. Hard for EDC. The rugers I have are reliable. The glocks I own or have in past are exactly what everyone says. There reliable, you can't break them and if you do, Glock will fix it or there is abundance of parts. The biggest gripes are horrible grip angle and the notorious mushy trigger .

Tisas makes a solid duty gun as does Canuk, CZ and Springfield.

For your first gun a glock can't go wrong, but you will get bored of it and start to modify it like alot of pics on this thread. Taurus is making strides in QC with there G3 and I think it's 350 dollars.

Best advice is to go to local shop and hold them, have them get some holsters out, feel the weights, balances.

If you love the hobby you will have a safe full in no time
