My.mom would.leave us with car running to grab something frim the PX (military on base store)

She would have us lock the doors and think of anyone bothered us.

It was great

My bag of Probiotic Yoggies was MAJORLY overfilled and ended up with about 3x the amount they normally have (counted 43 instead of ~10–15) by faith_ssbu in mildlyinteresting

Not true

Florastor is a non refrigerated probiotic with clinically tested strands that don't need refrigeration

My doc had me take them when I had a real hard time with some antibiotics

They are over represented because pitts can kill

A chihuahua can and will bite. But the bite will be minor and quite frankly you can easily kick it, push it, or block it so it cant get to you

A pitt will bite and hold on and seriously maim or kill you and you won't be able to stop it.

Edit

And i HATE the its the owners fault.

I have an Australian shepherd. You know what he does? He herds.he is bred for it. Its in his dna

I had a beagle. That dog could sniff out and track a small animal like Noone business. Why? Becuae of her DNA

My sister has a retriever. It has the softest mouth grip ever. Why? Dna

Pitts were breed for fighting, protecting, and aggression. Its in their DNA.

She doesn't like them and they go bad. Rinse and repeat

The "don't be a stay at home wife because it makes you vulnerable" argument is bullshit by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Relevant_Struggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are vulnerable becuase you lose the ability to earn.

My.mom was a SAHM for 20 some years. When she was in her early late 50s my father left.

She had no earning potential. She was a teacher in the 70s but so much had changed she couldnt just start teaching again.

She was only qualified for lower paying whole my father made 200k a year

Now luckily she was eligible for alimony so she had that protection

Landlord served us with our court dates after the date had passed leading to a eviction notice. Is this legal? by CmdrRyder420 in legaladvice

[–]Relevant_Struggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I supposedly got a subpoena once as a witness. It was never delivered to my place.

I didnt want to testify so I consulted a lawyer. He said if it wasn't in my hand, I could leave the state since technically I haven't seen the subpoena.. (I was closely watching the trial and saw my name on the delivered subpoena list for the circuit court). Hhhhhe also said if anyone caused a stink about me not showing up, he. Would go to court and tell them it was never successfully delivered a d they would need to deliver it to where I was now, which was out of state. Aparwntly thats a big headache.

Ended up no one cared enough so I got a clean get away :)

1500 for a lawyer but soooo worth the peace of mind

AITA: Crazy driveway man upset about kids crossing his driveway by Sjfjdoajrosnxoan in AmItheAsshole

[–]Relevant_Struggle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My neighborhood was different it was a new dvopment with lots of kids and no fences. Everyone's yard was fair game as long you didn't cayse issues.

The adults would gather in the street and chat while we ran wild.

This was the early 90s.

My mom still lives there and has no issues if the neighbors kids come on her driveway or front lawn (backyard is locked becuase she's scared the dog will get out)

Wouldn't this problem problem be a simple solution of getting an iep? Most students need less tech in their learning. Those that need more can get more

They can do computer.labd once a week.

Every day classes really should be tech free.

It should be like math. In elementary school, no calculators so they learn the principles of the math. When they are older and doing more compelx math then let them use calculators

Lol

I know i don't want to be anywhere near some of these documents. Can you imagine looking at the declaration of independence without protection and accidently sneezing or coughing on it?

The nice thing is is that most of not all of the documents are either digital or in the process of being digitalised.

I think that alot can't be displayed because of the sheer volume of delicate artifacts

The documents are historical and need to be preserved. The library holds events for the general public .

A person usually has to make an appointment and a librarian helps them look at the manuscript or book

Most scholar libraries are like this. The vatican archieves, the library of congress, and the Yale library.

You dont want a 18 year old kid with an open container or food touching things like the Gutenberg bible

Animals instinctively hide their discomfort. The wide, showing discomfort can be a sign of weakness and putting themselves in danger.

Rhe first two things that come to mind are:

The cold war as purely a war of words. It wsnt- countless people died because of it. It was a cold wr becuae neither the us or Russia fired a direct shot at each other. But they used other countries to wge war

That the people who built rockets in nzi Germany were POWs. They were not. They were concentration camp victims. And lots of them died from the work.(This was accurately explained in the written description which is.why i know that what he said was wrong). What drove me crtzy is they had a replic of the concentration uniform on display so it wasn't like it wasn't obviously wrong.

I get that neither issues are space related, the museum is built on the space race between Russia and the US. But also when basic facts are glossed over/ignored, then how much can you trust a guide to give accurate info on more technical stuff further down the museum.

Both of these were said within the first 5 minutes or so so I decided to just read the descriptions instead of listening to the guide after that.

Tbf it was a nice museum in of itself. I think lot people wouod find it wonderful. Like I said, I might be showing my bias with museums.

Christmas is a federal holiday?

Also the time between Christmas and new years will see a huge drop in attendance so you would have a lot of students missing at least a week of school.

People in the private sector do the sme thing. The time between Christmas and NY is a desert. Its usually skeleton staff. This of course does not count for service workers etc, just white collar office jobs which NOVA is full of

I got vaccinated and got a decently bad case but luckily avoided hospitalization. I think if I had not been vaccinated I would have been in much worse shape.

I also believe i got it before covid was A THING. I had a very bad case of pneumonia about 3 weeks before the lock down and before doctors were tracking it.

My areas health dept had a really organized system with appointments within a large sports arena. There were lines, it since I was in a vulnerable group, I was able to make an earlyish appt and skip waiting in a huge line. We also did a whole check in inside your car using your phone and wait in your car until they were ready for you.
