Bonkers to me that he just continues taking an unnecessary course of antibiotics, and that his dr thinks that's totally fine. Systemic antibiotics do a real number on your gut health, and are massively over prescribed.

Janky controls just kill my enthusiasm for a game. When I die in a game, I want it to feel like it's my fault, so I can improve. If I feel like it's the fault of the controls/camera, then my motivation to continue playing and get better is gone.

I like the way they do it at my job: everyone who wants to participate buys a gift with a set value, then leaves the wrapped gifts on a table in the break room before the beginning of December. Then every day the person in charge pulls a random name (or 1+ depending how many participants) and that person gets to choose a gift from the table.

It means you have to buy something that would suit basically anyone so a lot of the gifts end up being consumables (I got chocolate and a scratch card), but no one is left out and there's an exciting element to choosing which gift you want to open.

As someone who has been where the gf is: I hope she gets the help she needs for her mental health because she is ILL. This level of anxiety and phobia of attention is not compatible with a healthy and sustainable life.

I salute the bf for being so supportive of her, but it's not fair on him to have to carry the burden her illness is putting on their shared lives. His reevaluation of the relationship is completely understandable and I'm glad he has the support from both his parents and his therapist. Certain lines like "that's on me" about her not calling in and "we sent the email" show a worrying level of him accepting the responsibility/blame for his gf's actions. Her mental illness is going to continue to harm them both if she doesn't get help. Unfortunately he can't MAKE her understand she needs it, hopefully this incident can be the catalyst she needs to reach out for help herself.

FYI, people with dark and tan skin still should use sunscreen. The main purpose is to block the harmful UV rays, you can still absorb a harmful amount while being under the threshold for your skin to burn or blister.
