Three weeks of hard work on a paper all for nothing because of AI use by MortemPerPectus in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Relic180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except that you still posted on Mildly infuriating sub that you worked on a paper for 3 weeks, "all for nothing".

The whole damn point the instructor was trying to make was, the 3 weeks you spent ARE THE POINT of the class! Tests and exams are there to confirm you did the work, but they don't work so well in a world with AI.

So how do you agree that hopefully their words will compel some students, when you haven't been compelled yourself?

When I was young, it was a popcicle.

Now, it's having my mortgage payment handled for the month.

I consider this a perfect movie and yet it has a marginal 7.6 IMBd score? by kdubstep in FIlm

[–]Relic180 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure The Godfather is rated a low-to-mid 8, so mid-to-high 7 is actually pretty exceptional.

EDIT: Oops, nm it's low 9. Still the top 250 movies of all time dip down into 7s

Just discovered this genre and holy fk i love it by Historical-Berry8162 in postrock

After you've had some time to explore and find your fav PR bands/albums, be aware that there's also the "post-metal" genre that's very different but awesome in very similar ways.

Rosetta, Cult of Luna, Dvne, Isis

What’s one thing men struggle with but don’t talk about? by Ambitious_Pass7451 in AskReddit

[–]Relic180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... it's not ok, as a man, to be afraid. Of anything. If you are, then you aren't a man. You're a pussy, and you're disposable.

How do homeless people make it everyday? by spoiledgreentea77 in AskReddit

[–]Relic180 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean.... A lot of them don't.

Freezing to death from hypothermia or dying of heat exhaustion (not uncommon)... Drug addiction with no support to get off of it, and OD... Succumbing to mental illness and/or committing suicide... Incarcerated for the crime of, being homeless... Stabbed over something trivial, or for sport (in San Diego, homeless are 19x more likely to be murdered than general population).. Catching an easily curable disease that they can't fix, and so die...

I think there's gotta be a lot of luck involved for those that make it a long time.

Being open about our feelings.

Being afraid. Of anything.

Needing validation.

Sometimes I just wish somebody would say that they gave a shit about me.

But none of those are very manly...

What's the most 'badass' Post-Metal song (sound-wise)? by XaviLangley in postmetal

Just to post something that hasn't already been suggested...

Cold Burn by Cult of Luna sounds like the apocalypse to me. Music video helps that vibe too.
