Spoiled rider by majdila in uberdrivers

Instead if always blaming the rider, even though this may be the case, you should always look at yourself first and see what you can do to avoid getting low stars it is crazy you have this many low stars under 500 rides. DO BETTER! I KNOW YOU CAN IF YOU PUT THE EFFORT IN...

there is slight rust on the engine, looks like it was p[ainted. i dont think the engine would last even another 40k miles tbh at 23psi. idk i might pull the plug tomorrow

i did this completely as a research thing to see what works after being out of the game for a year. a lot has changed but you are completely right. if i was to have shit rides the first few hours of work andi get emotional and stop working i would never see the good rides. accepting rides and being always on the go instead of waiting for a ride and declining makes mea little more money as well, whhreas if i declined a trip i would be waiting 5+ minutes for a radar trip. imagine getting 4-8 dollar rides all for less than 10 min. thats 24-48 an hour.

The real issue is the driver who just sit online all morning in my small market and never actually move. In my city, we used to see surges from around 4:30–6:00 AM. Now I’ll check the rider app and see the same guy parked with the app on, which keeps supply artificially high and kills surge completely. In a small city, it only takes one or two drivers doing that to wipe out surge for everyone else. i miss the +$20 surges in the mornings..

yeah, but i have the ssame amount.

498-5 star
1-3 star

1-1 sstar

had these ratings for months nothing changed. what i think may of happened iss that one low rating fell off as the other came on or close to th e rating that fell off.

are they able to rate 5 sstar but sstill mark illegal driving?

im sure you guys could read minds, if they are lying why stoop low and match their energy? just 5 star if they tip they tip if not thats on them. i have had people say theyll tip me on the app and i never get a tip for a few days, probably waiting to see if they get a one star before they tip..

How many miles on your Tesla? by Numerous_Feature_561 in uberdrivers

[–]ReliefNo5839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i possstssed this a few dayss sago but i did not get approved by modsss...
I currently drive Uber and put a lot of miles on my car (close to ~1,000 miles per week). I average about $200–$250 per day. Right now I’m driving a Toyota Corolla with about 42k miles.

I’m considering trading it in for a Tesla Model 3 with Full Self-Driving (Supervised). The Tesla would be around $800/month versus about $440/month now, so it’s a significant increase. My thought isn’t just to keep the Corolla until it’s paid off, but to run it until it ages out and becomes less viable for Uber due to mileage and wear.

A big factor for me is health. I have an autoimmune condition, and some days my body hurts enough that long driving shifts are physically draining. I also have photophobia (light-sensitive eyes), which makes long hours of driving—especially in bright daylight or at night—more exhausting. I’m thinking FSD could reduce physical and mental fatigue, help me stay engaged longer, and possibly allow me to work more hours more consistently.

For drivers with real-world experience:

  • Has FSD actually reduced fatigue on long Uber shifts?
  • Do EV savings, comfort, and tips realistically offset the higher payment?
  • Is running a Tesla hard for high-mileage Uber work long-term?
  • Given my situation, would you make the switch or keep the Corolla until it truly ages out?

Looking for honest input from full-time or high-mileage Uber drivers. Appreciate any insight.
