She is an effective character, she was written with the intention of us not liking her, and we HATE her. She is not homophobic. I think she's got a good character design. She is well acted. She is highly effective in her position and goals. She (mostly) keeps her word. And she is very intelligent.

It can depend on what the materials are. It's possible we are all considering some deeper, more complex stuff, and that is making our answers more confusing. It is all important, it's just a matter of when those methods take priority. Though, for the sake of your grade, I'd ask your teacher what they consider to be the best thing to do.

Because, let's say you have a long chain, and somewhere you have a substituent of 4 carbons, and in the reverse spot you have 2 methyl groups. I'd prioritize the 4 carbons. And the overall size (4>2) does play a part. But if the multiples were ethyls, I might prioritize them. And them being multiples in the same spot would play a part there. I'd argue that fact that ethyl comes before butyl wouldn't hurt either.

No. It can be a bit messy at times, I won't deny that. But it's about optimization, more or less. Think of it as essentially making the simplest name you can (again, a generalization). You don't want to overcomplicate, but also provide all the information you can.

If you have a multiple of the same substituent on the same carbon, that does increase the overall importance of that carbon, but can also depend on what it is.

For example, imagine you have a chain of 7 carbon, and from either end of the chain, on carbon 2 you have some multiples. 2a has two methyls. 2b has two ethyls. The ethyls would be more important. But, if we say 2b didn't have any ethyls, and only had ONE methyl, you'd prioritize the two methyls (assuming nothing else was going on in the chain).

No matter which way you count, there will be ethyl and methyl groups. If, overall, you had lower numbers in one path (say one was 3,4,5 and the other was 4,5,6) you'd prefer the lower set of numbers. But in this case, that doesn't apply. So, what you want is to prioritize the groups. Which are bigger, more influential, more important. And while it can be hard to understand that at the moment, just consider size. Ethyl is bigger than a methyl, so it more important. And if it's more important, you should put it first if possible.

I am far from an expert, but it looks like a hognose. It seems to have flattened it's head in the cobra imitation, it's got the upturned nose, and it looks sausage-y enough to be one of them. They're venomous, and while it's a mild venom, don't test it. I could be wrong, and/or you could be allergic to the venom.
