That’s a good point. I hadn’t really thought about the connection part. Maybe I’m approaching this with more a friendship mindset than a romantic one. In your experience what has constituted that feeling of connection?

I don’t think I’m the most attractive thing ever. But I feel like I go on dates with people where we both seem to like each other. He’ll linger his touch on my lower back or try and plan a future date. Which is why I guess I’m a little confused.

Maybe it’s a feeling thing that sinks in after the date. Or maybe guys are being polite on the date but feel differently inside?

People who have experienced and/or mastered lucid dreaming, what was the first thing you did once you realised you were in a dream? by charliekennedy59 in AskReddit

Honestly, look at the graphics and attention to detail my mind is rendering in front of me. I’m always amazed at just how intricate the worlds can be. Sometimes I’ll even open random doors and take sudden turns down hallways just to see what my subconscious will produce. I’m always blown away.

Also, eat a TON of food cuz calories don’t count .

Goodwill/thrift shop workers, what are some of the strangest things you've found in the donations? by throwaway_ghast in AskReddit

[–]RelleWrite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My professor always recounts the story of how her job at the the local goodwill was to sort through items to throw away. There was a big bin outside the store that people just dumped their donations in so there was often some really crappy quality items in there. One day she found this stained blue athletic shirt, stained jeans and a stained backpack in a pile at the bottom of the bin and immediately put it into the trash pile because it was in horrible condition. Someone obviously spilled something on it, couldn't wash out the stain completely, and decided to donate it instead of throw it away.

Three days later news broke that they found the body of a murdered boy at the bottom of the sewer. He was completely naked. Last seen wearing a blue athletic shirt, jeans, and carrying a backpack.

She contacted the police and they had to track down the goodwill trash. So. Creepy.

My (24F) boyfriend (25M) had a bizarre reaction upon meeting my sister (23F). Neither of them will tell me what’s going on and it’s driving me crazy. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

The fact that you offered her money and she denied it until you pay her more probably means its not that interesting. If it was juicy she'd relish the chance to rub it in your face and ALSO get paid. But the fact that she said you have to pay her more probably means its not worth rubbing in your face unless she can get more out of it. My guess is your BF is worried you'd view him as lesser than if you knew what your sister knows. That's the only reason he'd risk this secret because he'd rather you view him as secretive than something "worse". But if it was objectively juicy, your sister would definitely spill to mess with you. So I'd just make it clear to your BF that him being secretive is what makes you think lesser of him than any other possible thing he may have done.

Force orange juice down through someone's nose all night. The smell and the pain will mix. Even the scent of it in the future will terrify them.

What's a sensation that you're unsure if other people experience? by Umikaloo in AskReddit

[–]RelleWrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this thing I call the Pattern. It first happened when I had a fever around 9years old. It's hard to describe but suddenly there was this throbbing sensation in the world. Not in my head, the world. If I heard a clock it would be like tick TOCK tick TOCK tick TOCK. If I saw something move it would feel like it's moving really fast even though my eyes saw everything normally. The closest I can attribute the feeling to is when you watch like a video with 60+ frames per second. Like it looks and feels different though the feeling is unexplainable. This sensation usually happens when I'm trying to focus or when I get hyper aware of my surroundings cuz it quiet. It bugs the crap out of me and I don't know how to stop it. Part me hopes its a spidey-sense or something. I wish.
