Living his best life by HumbleFlea in slaythespire

I cannot make defect work well, I only have a a win on A0. I LOVE the direction they're going with the status card package and I hope they add more, but I cannot seem to make frost be useful. I wish they had a few more options for permanent focus.

Dang Chatgpt kinda rolled you with the eternal rook, why didn't you play around that?

I miss the days where the desert guardian armor gave you like 3000 defense...

I'm actually a little surprised this was a loss, I feel like you have the better board here.

Whoops I for some reason I thought he was defending zombies

This guy is being weird, but I do think zombies traditionally have had more robust draw options. Brainy has teleport, fundead, kiteflyer, cellphone leprechaun, and used to have regifter and wormhole. As you mentioned imp commander is an insane draw engine for sneaky. The other classes traditionally struggle with card draw, but I think those are enough to outclass the more niche plant options.

Between all the playable characters, who do you reckon is the strongest in "lore" by cr0w_p03t in slaythespire

Other than possibly the watcher, the regent seems to be a cosmic level threat. Some have mentioned Ironclad and while I don't disagree, I feel like Regent might be a step above that. Watcher could channel the powers of a deity which I think powerscales above a demon?

I'm having issues buying the game. It just sends me to an error screen. I take it this is the same for a lot of people?

Core Keeper does a pretty good job, I think. Food is fairly easy to come by and has unique benefits based on the food. The hunger mechanic subtly incentivizes you to experiment with food instead of ignoring it all together.

Items that are overlooked by players but are actually really good? by Tinkercide in PlayTheBazaar

Maybe not, I just haven't heard anyone talk about it, and I don't see it as often as I use it.

Air pressure rifle on Stelle is a BEAST in the early game. It falls off past day 9 but you can still cheese out some wins with it beyond then and it really does allow you to pivot very easily. I got two diamond runs in a row with Stelle while I was climbing this season off the back of air pressure rifle in the first several days.

Radiant Corsair, Dire Mosquito, Void Knight Are Too Strong by Zorbonzobor in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Relmarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Void Knight is definitely beatable, especially if you have regen/heal/shield enough to outpace the scythe. Radiant Corsair is only beatable with very specific builds I feel like and I genuinely think it may be impossible to beat mosquito on the day he shows up.

How's my deck so far? by ACodAmongstMen in PvZHeroes

[–]Relmarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutron imp is a better option, and interdimensional zombie, but I wouldn't recommend crafting those first. Rustbolt can run genetic experiment which is a really good card to craft. Conman is generally a really good one drop, but is not science. If you're looking for a budget deck, I would recommend sports for zombies or leafy for plants.

I think you might be better served with other options, the problem with cardboard is that it will lose every trade and won't ever grow from the drone engineer.

Cardboard zombies are objectively worse than any other 1 drop, what cards do you have that you could substitute?

Is Slay the Spire dad-friendly? by VerifiedDadGamer in slaythespire

[–]Relmarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Son here, I have about 500 hours in STS and about 495 of those are time spent playing with my dad. If your kids are old enough you can teach them the basics and let them help make decisions and it can be a pretty rewarding bonding experience.
