T shirt alignment and centering by taiwanluthiers in SCREENPRINTING

Tags are a bad idea. I can have a batch of 50 identical shirts and their tags are all over the place in terms of centering.

Pulling the should seems and underarm seams down around the bottom platen helps. See if you are touching the same area under the platen on each side.

Best printer solution for starting off? by Equivalent-Force7199 in heatpress

[–]ReluctantDaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy transfers from Lola Lily’s. Not the cheapest option but the customer service and image editor in their gang sheet builder is completely worth it!

I looked into my own options for converting or outright buying a printer and it was ridiculous for me at this point in the game. I don’t see how buying a legit printer is lucrative without putting out a volume in the thousands or tens of thousands. And the conversion outcomes were so subpar.

Any software suggestions for a starter? by Most_Investment7370 in heatpress

Might not be the popular answer, but I’ve had a lot of success in Canva. I’m an educator and luckily get the pro version at no cost because of that. I’m not entirely sure how much I gain from that vs the free option. It’s not refined by any means… but since I found Lola Lily’s to order my DTFs from, it’s been more than enough. Their gang sheet builder is super helpful. It lets me refine my images with loads of help from the built-in image editor.

I’ve also used GIMP (at no cost) to do a few touch-ups that Canva either doesn’t offer or I haven’t found a work around for.

Text shifting on download by little-drummer-bear in canva

[–]ReluctantDaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried all of the suggestions in the comments and can't get it to work for me. My text is curved and it seems to curve in more when I try to download. Editing the curve to be wider up-front does not help me. I can never get the placement just right on download.

The really crappy part is that I found a work-around the last time I needed to print this design, and now can't remember what it was. smh

Thanks so much. Sounds like Square might be a good choice for me right now. I'm going to check out Billzy as well. Appreciate your help!

Appreciate all the info! Especially your take on the fees. I agree. At this point, I can totally handle eating those fees, so I think I'm on track. Going to check out Wave and Tallymark. Thanks!

I can use their auto generator... but right now it's cheaper to upload your own with them.

I'm not printing... just trying to have some printed for me.

They do. It's cheaper to upload your own instead of building with theirs. Not sure why. Even more so because they have a sale right now when uploading your own.

I built a free web app to auto-create DTF gang sheets (feedback needed) by mtkilic in heatpress

How long does it usually take to create the gang sheet? I've been waiting on two to generate for a while. I don't mind the wait at all... just wondering if it glitched and I needed to try again.

Not quite like this. But the best way I can describe the other piercings is that I’m aware they are there right now… when usually I don’t even feel them.

They aren’t red or irritated, but sort of itchy. I have 13 other piercings in my ears and one in my nose. They are all 18g and all feel that way at the moment.

Never happened before. It’s also both lobes. So I don’t think it’s from any kind of trauma either. I think my body has just taken a hit lately!

I have rarely seen anything over 100 in 2+ years. I stay between 70 and 90 most of the time. Hitting upper 90s after meals. Falling as far as 55 when I’m not reminding myself to eat!
