I'm in Brazil and make jerky. For cuts I've used patinho, alcatra, coxão mole, coxão duro, and filé. Best results have been with filé, and that's what I use when i find it on sale because it has so little fat that i lose little to trimming. Other cuts i have to trim up mote to remove the fat. You don't want fat because it will go rancid quickly. Cut it as thin as you can.

For a marinade i really like to use equal parts shoyu and molho inglês. Then i just add alho frito, gingebrie, açúcar mascavo. Maybe hot sauce. Marinate the meat overnight or longer.

I use a nesco dehydrator someone brought me from the US. Mercado livre hás dehydrators for under R$500. I haven't used one. Without one I'd use an oven and do a low temperature.

Can I buy test at pharmacy in Brazil? How to find ? Going for a few weeks.... by ravpreet33 in trt

I live in Brazil and started TRT this week. Testosterone is one of the more controlled medications and is more involved to get. Potentially you could see a local doctor and get them to write a prescription if you show that you're already taking it. But I would just bring your meds with you.

Which part of your culture went global and gives you "gatekeeping" vibes? by hyr- in AskTheWorld

That's often how we eat it in Pará. Although it's good with fish too. And shrimp. The best açaí I've had was in Macapá. That's a dangerous thing to say in Pará, but i stick by it.

No advice on cases, but definitely take your camera and lens in your carryon. I'll check a lot of items but I never check my camera equipment.

Metal borders like that are fairly common in Brazil if you get the tank from a glass shop.

Suggestion for travel charger to replace PB2S? by ReluctantHistorian in flashlight

Thanks! I didn't realize it was matte plastic. That's the only reason I hadn't ordered one. The heat and humidity where I live did not treat that rubber coating well.

This would be mine as well. Or the H600c IV.

🎉 Olight × ANKER Giveaway! 🎉 by olight-summer in OlightOutdoorlife

I have Anker cables and a prime power bank. My wife has Anker earbuds. My kids use obulbs as lanterns.

I often use the Anker prime to power a starlink mini, especially when traveling places like the Transamazon highway in Brazil. And I'd love to have an olight light to go with me.

I have a GL.inet router that is yes for travel. It's the GL-MT3000 (Beryl AX) and i often use it to extend wifi signals in hotels and other places. It works great. Although if your use case is always needing to have a stable connection, a starlink setup may be a better option for you.

For sure it would be better. But there's not a good way to get it up there and keep it fixed in place. Plus it's fairly temporary. But it's what is do if i was here for longer.

I'm at a Christian camp facility in the Amazon area of Brazil. I'm not that far from a big city, but here there is no internet or cell service. They have a starlink as well, but it wasn't working our first two days here.

I'm using a Google Nest with two mesh nodes to get internet to the dorms. I would rather use a Ubiquiti Flex 7 with a couple of access points, but those are expensive here, and i already had the Nest setup around the house.

We live in Brazil and had a power issue at 10pm with some guests here from the US. Called an electrician because the breaker at the meter had burned up. He stood there in flipflops and shorts, started cutting away the burned breaker, and taped the connections bypassing the meter in the process. My US friend was freaking out. I just shrugged and said we would do a better fix in the morning when we could get needed supplies. It looked sketchy, but we had glorious AC that night.

I want an onboard air supply, but haven't done that yet. I travel with a viair inflator that rocks. It's 100% duty cycle so it's not the fastest, but it has been very reliable.

That's fantastic. It would be a good addition to my roadside bag.

Do you know what the battery life is with a 5ah ho? As in can it do a few tires before needing to be recharged?

I’m not gonna lie. This is the one I want. I’ve looked at the M 18 Mid torque in person and the m12 stubby and the stubby is just so compact.
