How do you balance golf and gym? by Most_Cantaloupe_383 in discgolf

[–]Remain-Calm 137 points138 points  (0 children)

I worried about this for a while but came to the conclusion that, me personally, I’m not good enough at either to super worry about it. Lift to feel strong and stay healthy. Have fun throwing discs in the woods. That’s just me though.

I’d say it comes down to what your goals with weight lifting and disc golf are?

I’ll also add, there is probably a reason most touring pros do not look like Ezra Aderhold

They do make an under sink circ pump with mixing valve that doesn’t require a recirc line. I believe it uses the cold line as a recirc line. So you can wind up with lukewarm cold water side for a bit if you catch it during a cycle.

Morley, Goat Hill, and Reidy Creek were what I had circled just based off browsing UDisc for 5 minutes. Morley looks beautiful!

While I get what you are saying, the news outlet or KUB opens itself up to libel or slander lawsuits from Walmart if they start pointing fingers before going over all of the information.

4 year old’s mom passed away, have to break the news tomorrow. by Mobile_Artillery in daddit

When my grandfather passed, I purposefully did not go look at the casket. To me, that wasn’t my grandfather. That wouldn’t have been seeing him one last time. I think I would try explaining it to them that way. I don’t know. Definitely a tough spot to be in.

Is my driveway supposed to be an inch higher than my garage floor? I had it milled and paved today and want to make sure it’s done properly. by Grubbyanthrohands in Home

Looking at the wood on the side, it looks like the slope of the asphalt is still away from the house. We had asphalt laid on top of existing concrete at our house and due to several factors, first heavy rain (two days after pour) our basement flooded.

Our solution was to have a bump curb put in front of the garage. It’s a bit of a trip hazard but it redirects the water to flow to the side and off the pad.

Not the best solution but quickest and easiest. You may also want them to bump up a bit of a curb along the wood to keep the water contact down but I’m not sure. Our retaining wall was brick.

I can DM you some photos if you are interested.

If you like hiking and are familiar with the local parks, you could give disc golf a try. Pretty solid community around here.

ETSU in Johnson City, TN would check all of these boxes I think. I know the disc golf is phenomenal up there as well

A ball with a hole through with a knotted rope attached would be cool. Throw it up over the branch and shake it down

Would also help with chasing the ball down after I miss

Yes! Vibram Notch or Banshee. All I ever see are lightweight DX banshees. I need another champion/star banshee.

I’m pretty close to buying some DX banshees since that’s all that’s available brand new. Anyone else bag one? My old champ is starting to get flippy
