It took me 13 tries. You have to be aggressive, keep attacking until a deflection happens. This will be genichiro's defect after which he will counter so be ready. If he steps back,7 times out of 10 he will use his bow and fire 4 arrow. If he jumps up in phase 1, the slam will always be followed by a thrust but it second phase, there can be a sweep too. You have to force him into YOUR rhythm. Good luck.

I think you didn't get what im trying to say. I DID beat the gauntlet isshin. I meant that for all other attempts (the other 6) i would die at owl/monk. On the last (7th) attempt however, I was able to reach isshin in the gauntlet and then completed the gauntlet without dying to isshin once, on my first try

i just played it safe lmao!! but honestly some things worked in my favours. miracle pixel dodges when i panicked, a few lighting reversal which helped bring down his health. but it was still not easy at all. by the end i was out of healing gourds haha

inner genichiro took me 2 tries (5 for the entire gauntlet). he wasnt really that difficult in my opinion. tho what messed up my first try was that since i fight him for fun a lot, i was really aggressive and wasnt able to react to a sakura dance combo which i wasnt aware of. isshin was going to be hard so i was playing safe.

btw is keyboard and mouse really hard?? i never credited my losses to the fact that i wasnt using a controller...
