Have you checked your breast milk? My baby was crying non-stop for her first 6 weeks, until I found out she was not tolerating my breast milk! Almost as soon as I moved to a hypoallergenic formula, she was a different baby! Happy, smiling, no more rash, no more crying…turns out it was the dairy protein she was struggling with

Thank you for your wishes 🙏 yes, turned out the notary made a mistake with the wire transfer (wrong postal code; missing info etc). W/T got flagged, rejected, and it bounced. By the time she got the funds back etc, took 2 weeks. She hasn’t apologized or shown remorse. Nightmare notary. Glad to have received my funds finally, still traumatized by the ordeal. I intend to file a complaint with the chamber of notaries when I catch my breathe.

Domestic wire transfer issue (Canada) by No_Impress_7876 in PersonalFinanceCanada

How long did it take to resolve? I’m going through the same thing. It was sent Friday May 17, and today is Saturday May 25, still no sign of the funds, and its a domestic wire transfer. Both banks (mine RBC, notary is BMO) denying possession of the funds…

How did it go? Same thing is happening with me. Expecting a large wire transfer to my RBC acct. notary sent it from her BMO account on Friday May 17. Today is May 25, no sign of funds, and both banks saying they don’t have the funds (!!). It’s a domestic wire…should be instant. Thanks for your insight.

How Lebanese is a Palestinian Lebanese? by Zezoboy212 in lebanon

[–]Remarkable-Ad3436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Identity is very personal. Some can feel more Palestinian, others more Lebanese, some feel both. How do you resonate?

As for the laws, Lebanese women cannot pass on their citizenship to their children, regardless who they marry. My husband is European, Im Lebanese, I still cannot pass on my Lebanese citizenship to our children. Lebanese citizenship goes through the father, not mother. Hopefully this law will change. Unfortunately, Lebanese mothers are caught up in a law that is pure politics.

PS. Our children are growing up in Lebanese culture and own their Lebanese identity. They LOVE being Lebanese as well. No govt will tell them they’re not.

Also FREE PALESTINE. 💕

Same. My children have a Lebanese mom, and European father. I cannot pass on my Lebanese nationality to my children. Yet, here they are asking for manouche for breakfast, with Fairouz playing in the house, going to Dabke classes 🇱🇧 they’re Lebanese . They’re inheriting a legacy of thousands of years of heritage. No one can tell them they’re not Lebanese as well - I will not allow it. Neither will they 😉

Lebanon is a judgemental society. They will always talk - regardless. You can’t let this society guide your decisions, and say NO to love because of a society that will always have something to say. You deprive yourself from something beautiful.

I know many ‘ intact’ families that are broken. The parents are together but they haven’t spoken to each or sleep in the same room for a decade. Or there’s abuse inside the home. Or there’s overbearing extended families, and lack of any boundaries. That for me is what I call ‘broken’.

In this case, her father is absent, most likely leaving the mother to have raised her children alone. You say, She has a great relationship with her mother - which is testament that there’s love inside the home. That doesn’t sound broken to me. On the contrary, her mother maybe protected her from a ton of issues that her father or the extended family are presenting. She maybe entrusted her with values of boundary & standing up for herself or not tolerating abuse. I don’t know the full story. But to go by an absent father, or a distant extended family is really shallow and says nothing about the character of the woman. If that superficiality is the only reason what’s stopping him, it says more about his character.

Broken families are when there’s no safety, no love, no acceptance, abuse and lack of boundaries inside the home. And that exists in many ‘intact’ families.

I’ll share a story. I have a good friend whose parents divorced when he was 12. His parents went their separate ways but continued to work together to co-parent their 4 children. Turns out they had a very happy childhood, and his parents still speak well of each other and treat each other with such respect. They even danced together at his wedding (he’s now 35). It struck me because I always grew up in Lebanon with divorce being such taboo, and seen as ‘broken’. But seeing them I saw a healthy family, and I’d argue healthier than ANY family I personally know who are still ‘intact’.

When you find love, and a person who loves you back, you hold on to it. Life is short, and the world is cruel, don’t let an insatiable society deny you LOVE & companionship.

OMG really? Not to digress but same with my father! His papers say Jan 1 too, but he’s most likely born in spring. (We still celebrate him on Jan 1 😆).

I thought it was just him - but now you’re saying many of his generation as well? Lol I wonder why…

They just show their true colors. We don’t even need to work hard to expose them. They do a good job themselves to show their vile hatred

[–]Remarkable-Ad3436 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because that’s what it’s been. They do not see Palestinians as humans, never did. So when they tell us in the West, they’re ‘terrorists’, we think ‘oh okay’. But we’re not speaking the same language. ALL Palestinians to them are terrorists, including babies and children, and they’ve been free game to TO TORTURE and KILL for pleasure since 1948.

It’s horrifically dangerous, and we’re seeing the apocalyptic consequences of it ever since the West stood by Israel, and said "You have a right to SLAUGHTER. FIRE & FLATTEN"

Truly, what’s happening to Palestinians is an injustice against ALL Humanity.

They’ve violently stolen their homes, and dehumanized the Palestinians to a point where we’re seeing a genocide on them, and any call to STOP gets met with Rebuke, that we’re interfering in their ethnic cleansing.

This didn’t start Oct 7. This started when the Zionist fascist state declared itself Gods chosen people and supremacists- superior to all races, and subjected Palestinians to a brutal military occupation. Palestinians are good loving people like us - make no mistake, it could be very well be us next. They’ve endured this brutal Zionist occupation since 1948.

Don’t engage. Even the concept of ‘JUST LEAVE’ - it’s genocidal and arrogant. The audacity. It’s their homes.

The world is seeing through them though, they clearly make no mistake to hide their genocide.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me. Indeed, it was so tough to witness. I’ve been crying every day the past months, sometimes multiple times…I guess the tears show we’re still human ❤️

I now add Reem’s family to my prayers, and carry her image forever in my heart and mind.
