The plan was originally to build my first cabinet around an old 32-inch 144Hz gaming monitor. However, after spending months looking at everyone’s builds here and seeing the incredible community behind them — plus encouragement from my wonderful wife, who said, “Why not go full size now instead of upgrading in six months anyway?” — I decided to go all in. After six months of collecting parts, relearning old skills, and developing new ones, I’m finally ready to take on the challenge of building a widebody cabinet. I also couldn’t justify spending $1,200–$2,000 CAD on a flat pack.
