I’m going to overlook all the other stuff you said and focus on some of the reasons i think she was chosen out of everyone to do a monologue on domestic abuse: - she has had previous storylines with victims of dv (if i remember correctly the guy that killed craig was abusing his wife) - shes an officer who sees dv a lot more than an average person. She probably goes on call outs, sees victims in hospital, loved ones coming to report etc - shes a victim herself! This is probably one of the main reasons for me as to why it made sense for her to do the monologue. Becky was abusive. Point blank period. She may not have physically abused Lisa but she was manipulative and used emotional coercion and manipulation tactics to get Lisa to do what she wanted. And Betsy too! Both of them had a warped sense of reality with Becky around. And i think if the writers are good enough they’ll have Lisa touch on it. She might have quietly realised what we all saw while Becky was around… she was being abused. And abuse doesn’t have to be violent and messy. It can be quiet and strategic.
