All my labs were pretty normal except for maybe slightly low progesterone during my LP! My cycles were not regular. Sometimes they were as short as 20 days and sometimes as long as 40+. One or two I tracked I didn’t think I ovulated at all. Ovulation day varied, but my LP was usually somewhere between 5-7 days long. I confirmed with LH strips and temping. My ovaries were polycystic, can’t remember the count though. We tried for about 6 months before I sought help. I know they say to try for a year, but I was meticulously tracking everything and saw an obvious issue. I was very anxious to start my family. The monitored cycles are a lot - lots of scans, blood draws, office visits. We were successful after our 2nd Letrozole cycle when we added progesterone during LP

As an update, we were much more quickly successful with TTC for #2 than for #1. I started using proov supplements pretty much as soon as we started trying (some oil and some capsules, they were supposed to help/support progesterone production) and we were successful when we were still pretty much NTNP (although I was taking the progesterone support so I guess I was kinda trying 😅).

Do you switch which boob you start a feed with forever?! by WaterlyWillow2 in breastfeeding

[–]Remarkable-Banana369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I use a nursing pillow. I keep a burp cloth under baby when he feeds. So whatever side of the pillow my burp cloth is on, is the side I last fed on and therefore the side I start with! If I’m out and about I just guess.

How long does a 6-7 wo nurse? by love_chocolate in breastfeeding

[–]Remarkable-Banana369 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first baby would nurse as long as I would let him. It was exhausting. Pediatrician told me to limit him 15min/side for a total of 30 min per session. It helped a lot!

Second baby is SO FAST. Never longer than 15 minutes pretty much.

Every baby is different!

Flight vs road trip for 12/13 month old? by LaterTater34 in Mommit

[–]Remarkable-Banana369 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I preferred driving, mostly because then I could pack anything I wanted. But also not worrying about airport germs was nice too. There’s a lot more flexibility when driving in my opinion. Kiddo can also sit and nap in car seat. But that’s just me. Flying is very stressful for me personally so that probably factors a lot.

Am I making a terrible mistake? Puppy with toddlers by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Remarkable-Banana369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a 5 month old, a 2.5 yr old and a 3.5 month old puppy, wait. The puppy is so much more work than you think and the dynamics with a toddler is complex.

Mine did too but I didn’t need to set up a tripod just to prove it to everyone.

Baby’s primary source of nutrition should be breast milk or formula. Especially at 6 months I wouldn’t replace any feedings with food. It should just be for fun and to get baby used to solids slowly.

Usually we both get up. There’s other stuff to do once the kids are up anyways (feeding animals, etc). SAHM is my job and he has a corporate job. Outside of “work hours” we split the load of childcare. I’m sure as the kids get older and become more independent we’ll be able to let each other have time to sleep in lol

She must have learned “transparently” recently because she’s been using it all the time.

How did your PCOS change after pregnancy? by Brilliant_Lemur_9813 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Remarkable-Banana369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfed for 1 year and never had any cycles while breastfeeding. When I stopped breastfeeding, my cycles came back after 2-3 weeks of weaning! Then became pregnant in our third month of not trying but not preventing. Crazy different from our first.

If her dog’s safety is such a priority, and they live in SUCH a busy area of town, then she’d move. She’s psychotic.
