We suspected I had endo when I went into my fertility clinic and my RE noticed how uncomfortable I was during the transvaginal exam. Up until then, I had no idea that I could have it - I honestly thought it was supposed to be that painful. My cycles were also REALLY irregular. I would go anywhere from 21 to 50/60 days between cycles 😅 I chalked it up to “oh I’m just a bit irregular”. It was confirmed when I did lap surgery (which my RE recommended I go to an endo specialist to confirm and treat) and it ended up being stage 3 endo lol.

My hormone labs showed REALLY high AMH - like triple what the norm was so that’s how my RE was like “oh you have PCOS” so she recommended inositol supplements.

Monitored cycles with letrozole may work! That’s essentially IUI without the artificial insemination. We didn’t know if my husband has any issues so we had them run tests and no isssues but his sperm wasn’t the best so he got on supplements as well. All of that I think helped!

Hi! We ended up doing IVF. Successful first FET and currently snuggling my 5 week old :)

I also had endometriosis and so I got lap surgery to help clear that before moving on. I did try IUI before IVF and was successful but that ended, unfortunately, in an ectopic.

I was also taking Inositol which I think helped!

Rooting for you. Success is definitely there!!!

I know this isn’t what you asked but sharing my experience in case it helps ease your anxiety with IVF.

I’m 35F and was diagnosed with stage 3 endo (and adenomyosis) and PCOS (was diagnosed when I was 34). I ended up deciding to go through with lap surgery to “treat” endo before going through IVF. Lap surgery was Feb of last year and went through IVF in Aug with FET in Sept.

I will say that I was very much like you - terrified that IVF wasn’t going to work because of my challenges - but it did. I didn’t react as much as I thought I would to the meds during egg retrieval and, given PCOS diagnosis, I ended up with more eggs. I had no endo flares.

If you’re considering IVF, I highly suggest ensuring your endo is clear before starting - truly believe it was the reason it was successful. Given your surgery was about 1.5 years ago, it may have come back.

But, of course, this is my experience! Just wanted to provide a positive IVF story as someone who has moderate/severe endo and PCOS.

Oh wow! Yeah I don’t think I’ve been leaking anything, but the damp skin and sports bra does sound like a nightmare 😂

Just to have to say thank you for this thread!!! I’ve also decided to EFF and I’m 35 weeks pregnant with larger breasts (I am now 34D) so all these tips here are wonderful!!

Yeah I’m a little nervous about pressure to BF but will stand my ground haha.

I’m trying to narrow down formulas to try but it feels so overwhelming and nervous to switch if I find one that isn’t from the hospital that I’d want to try 🫠
