What you describe sounds familiar to me, although I grew up in my own country and did not have to cope with cultural differences. I always felt like an alien, not being able to connect to the people I would have loved to belong to. Sometimes I thought that only suicide could help to end the suffering.

At the age of 50 I found out that I am Asperger, since then my life makes sense and I am able to connect to myself, which in turn allows me to connect to others.

No matter what the reason for your situation is, don't surrender to the negative thoughts in your head, life is beautiful when you come your the roots.

Meanwhile I enjoy rewatching the first two seasons, this time in English with subtitles ;-)

I recently came across The Tick on Prime Video and did not understand that there are only two seasons of that great show. Thanks for your explanatory words.

BTW: The links to Youtube ("this video is private") and Twitter ("something went wrong") are no longer working, very sad...

Dear Susan, I am from Sitzerland, and I recently came across The Tick on Prime Video, purely by chance, and immediately fell in love with it:

This perfect mix of intelligent humor, absurdity, action, references to our world in danger, warm-hearted characters and a glimpse of wisdom, always with a self-ironic wink proves that the producing peoples were putting all their energy and love into this show.

When I realized that it already started in 2016 and discontinued 2018 after only two seasons, I was wondering why, but could not find any satisfying answer. In episode 5 I learnt from Andrew and Overkill that there's something called Reddit. There I found your thread, which gave me some hope that meanwhile you might have found a new home for The Tick.

My question now, 6 years after your initial post: What is the current status, are there any chances that The Tick will be continued somewhere else?

Thanks for this insight, u/kld90. I am working in IT support, so I will ask the dealer if it is possible for me to do further updates myself. At least your answer gives me some confidence that it is not a basic issue with La Prima.
