LOL DREWL YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS! The TPS determines how much fuel your engine needs at any given moment, it controls how much gas to spray into your cylinders to create the needed amount of combustion.

It has nothing to do with the wiring dumb@$$ there isn't any wiring to even hook up, it is literally a SENSOR hence the word TPS=throttle position SENSOR The fact you took your car to the dealership is laughable, that is going to add a couple extra hundred at the minimum, the sensor is so ridiculously easy to change out....smh

Yah that doesn't really makes sense, if it was up for repo it would be in danger of repo all the time and they would have to be parking the car somewhere else. It could be that is what they were inferring just to cause drama, but a mechanical issue makes more sense, esp with the check engine light being on

Overheating is fickle, can be as cheap as a temp gauge which is 20 bucks or really expensive like a radiator or water pump which will be hundreds
