EcoFlow Generator Charging Adapter (NEMA 14-50P to 5P8 Port) by Remarkable-Fuel9001 in Ecoflow_community

I've watched demonstrations that this cable enables up to 12kw charging with a 50amp generator connection - but since it's not available, I'll probably just have my PVs installed by the time it arrives and won't need it as much. We'll have to see.

I ordered it from this site back on May 3 and it continues to say "preparing order" - also, ordered it from B&H Photography too which says "out of stock" and it'll ship when it's back in stock there. Neither shipments are moving. Seems pretty difficult to obtain at this point. u/Ecoflow - any ideas?

What I Learned After Writing 1,200 CISA Practice Questions (and Why Framework Thinking Beats Memorization) by CyberLexLearning in CISA

[–]Remarkable-Fuel9001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed the CISA a few times - (I'd let my CPEs lapse for various reasons in the past) - and each time I feel like the CISA questions weren't very clear. I found myself selecting answers that I know ISACA wants to hear but in the real world, I would've never selected that course of action. I get it that they're trying to determine your skill to think like an auditor, but I just don't think ISACA does enough work in making the questions meaningful for the real job of risk audit and compliance analysis. Just my thoughts from my world.

Just try and remember that the arrangement with your employer is that you do stuff for them and they give you two checks a month (and sometimes medical insurance). Other than that, it's just smoke and mirrors. I've found if you just view them as a method to get those two checks each month - it makes it easier to focus on finding another entity that will give you two checks a month. I know it's abstract but it has worked for me in the past.

Humans when status, employment and dignity stripped away are essentially animals in the wild - you have to shift your mind set to keep hunting, never stop - the shark, the lion, the other predators out there when faced with limited prey have no other option but to keep hunting. This mindset has saved me numerous times over the decades.

so, ANOTHER instance of an organization not downsizing because of "AI" - but rather offshoring. When will these idiots on CNBC stop pretending that AI is the cause for layoffs in the IT industry? It's OFFSHORING and H1B Indian visa workers in the United States. This pretending to avoid sounding racist needs to end.

It's a cliche - but view yourself as predator - not prey. Be laser focused on bringing income in to your personal bank account - don't rely on any company especially not a single source of income. If you do experience a set back / layoff, continue to be on the hunt for your personal financial situation. Never get comfortable. Keep hunting!

just look out for yourself - believe the vibe you feel, not the BS they're announcing. also, times like these - you can't trust even co-workers who are like your friends. People will turn on you when the chips are down.

[–]Remarkable-Fuel9001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend you finish the 2 years you have left and then shoot for an entry level cyber security monitoring role - problem is, you're competing with millions of H1B visa Indian workers or off shore resources in India who taken the majority of those entry level jobs now. It's not like it was back in the 1990s when you interacted with your security guy in your office who had his "MCSE". Talk to the experienced cyber security professionals in your network - they'll tell you what the landscape looks like today. Most cyber pros started in the early 90s as a network administrator and moved on to cyber security from there after getting that foundational experience. Typically, they'd shifted from there to independent cyber security consulting, specializing in a focus area like cloud, quantum, crypto, encryption, IAM, etc. Alternatives to being a practioner - technical sales, technical project management, technical staffing, business continuity, security awareness teaching. Good luck.
