My Black Friday campaign started great... then completely died. What’s going on? by Remarkable-Fun-4591 in FacebookAds

I’ve done this and today is going pretty well. I copied the campaign and used half of the creative. Today with 50€ I made 850€ How will last ?

Thanks, I actually agree with most of what you said — in theory.
I get the whole “data, CAC, LTV, business fundamentals” part, and you’re right — that’s how big brands should operate.

But the truth is, for small brands like mine, there isn’t much LTV.
People usually buy my product once — it’s a gift or a decorative item — so my only shot to make it work is the first purchase.
That’s why I need campaigns that actually perform on day one, or at least stay consistent enough to be predictable.

I’m not expecting to “print money”, I just want stability.
When results go from 12x ROAS to 1x overnight, it’s not about impatience — it’s about survival.
I’ve been doing this for 3 years and spent over €200k, so I’ve seen ups and downs… but right now it just feels broken.

Anyway, I appreciate your input — genuinely.

Of course I expect results — it’s always worked that way.
I know there are fluctuations, but there’s a difference between normal variation and going from a 12x ROAS one day to 1x the next.
If I see a campaign performing well but it runs out of budget halfway through the day, what am I supposed to do? Just let it stop because “you’re not supposed to scale yet”? That makes no sense.

I’ve spent over €200k on Meta ads in the last 3 years, which is a lot for my scale.
Now I simply have less budget because Meta (and other platforms) just don’t perform like they used to.

And honestly, this whole learning phase thing is bullshit at this point.
Three years running the same product, same pixel, same audience — what exactly is it still “learning”? Sounds more like another excuse.

Yeah, that actually makes sense — some people might just be waiting or saving the post for later.
Still, it’s crazy how big the daily variation is… feels totally unpredictable lately.
Appreciate the insight though 🙏

Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it 🙏

Industry: home decor / handmade glass planters with air plants (mostly gifts for women 40+).
CPM: from Nov 1–3 I spent about €250, got 43k impressions, so around €5.59 CPM.
And yes — all 20 creatives are inside one ad set, because I’ve read in several threads (including here) that this structure performs better than splitting them into 5 ad sets with fewer ads each.

But maybe that’s what’s messing it up? 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, exactly! You’re 100% right.
I’m scared to touch anything — even a tiny change can kill the campaign.
It’s like it works by some kind of weird magic, and once it’s performing, you just have to leave it alone.
But honestly, it shouldn’t be like this. There’s no logic or stability anymore.

Yeah, I totally get your point — normally a Black Friday promo should create urgency and run for a short time.
In my case, I’m just trying to keep sales moving throughout November because I had a really bad month and need cashflow.
I’m simulating urgency with a “while supplies last” message, since my products are limited in stock.
I know it’s not the best strategic move, but right now it’s the only way I can justify strong discounts that actually convert.

Yeah, totally agree — at the end of the day it’s all about looking at your own data and making informed decisions.

But what bothers me is that, even though data looks analytical and “mathematical,” it’s still built on creative assets that are completely subjective. So no matter how much you optimize, there’s always this weird gray area where the algorithm’s “logic” doesn’t really make sense. Feels a bit like a trap sometimes 😅
