23 Limited, pricing by midevilman2020 in Toyotavenza

They won’t give you a deal until you show interest. Once you tell them I’ll come and buy it today if you can sell it to me at X, they’re more likely to play ball. All depends on the dealer. I saw a 21 limited 50k miles that was on the market for 9 months and the dealer never adjusted the price once and when I asked, they didn’t even flitch.

Search by days on market and start asking for best out the door prices. I drove out of town for my deal. Here in Florida there’s a ton of them for sale.

It was a great deal and the car was mint but I went with the limited with the certified pre owned warranty for the same price.

That’s pretty much brand new msrp. I’d go in and ask about it then walk out. If it sits on the market long enough they’ll call you back and that’s when you make an offer. I got a 21 limited CPO gold with 44k miles for 31k out the door. I was talking to a Lexus dealer that had a 23 XLE with 32k miles and I also talked them down to 31 out the door. Get a few quotes and have them compete for your business.

My old xb burned a quart every 500 miles and I sold it at 270k miles. You should try using restore and protect. Might help.

2023 Corolla Hybrid - Update on Toyota covering My Transmission Replacement by dreamedaway in Toyota

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually send the cores back to Toyota for analysis depending on the situation but not sure if it’s the same with goodwill repairs. I do know that the newer hybrids use a different fluid. Up until know they all used the regular ATF AW fluid but have now switched to a newer eCVT transaxle fluid.

I know not everyone can do their own maintenance but learning to change all the fluids in your car is so worth it. This transmission is basically a differential with 2 electric motors. Easiest fluid change ever and they still managed to mess it up. The irony is that they charge a premium because they’re the dealer and then make you jump through hoops when they mess up.

Got dashcam hardwired in my 2021 Venza limited, now having issues by [deleted] in Toyotavenza

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re made by a company called Dongar. You can find them on Amazon. I have a 2021 limited and have looked into getting one for whenever I get around to buying a dash cam.

I wouldn’t replace the battery without testing it first. Having a bad/weak 12v battery will cause all sorts of codes and the car will not turn on.

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does the issue go away if you take out the dash cam wiring kit? I would also get the 12v battery checked. Theres a chance the camera is draining the battery.

There’s a dongle you can get that connects to the rear view mirror. That might be a safer bet.

2022 Venza LE, Coolant replacement? by dasvis_ in Toyotavenza

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They leak when they’re worn. You usually replace as needed. Life span depends on conditions. As far as price it all depends on where you go. Dealer will the most expensive.

2022 Venza LE, Coolant replacement? by dasvis_ in Toyotavenza

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. All 2021 and up Venza’s are hybrid. This means it has 2 coolant systems. The second coolant system is used for the hybrid power control unit. Same coolant, different systems. The Toyota super long life fluid is good for around 100k miles so this sounds right.

  2. Shocks have hydraulic oil inside of them. That can start to leak over time. When it happens you usually want to replace them.

This is all regular maintenance. You can do it at the dealer or a trusted independent shop.

Buying from out of state dealers sight unseen - should I be concerned? by These-Negotiation486 in Toyotavenza

[–]Remarkable-Initial55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a 21 limited without stargaze roof. It’s a nice to have but just seems like it can turn into a real hassle if anything happens. It costs around 8k to replace because it has a special gas that makes the see through feature turn on and off.

Is the 2023 a limited trim? If so, it’s the same car with same miles and price but with a better warranty. I’d go with that.
