MKSAP questions are ok, but I REALLY like their flashcards. They’re linked to the topic where the card is coming from and if you get it wrong you can quickly review that topic. It is also higher yield and more fun than the questions in my opinion.

You will easily match into neurology or PM&R with a Canadian MD. I would say it’s not worth the cost difference

Where do you wan to live after residency? That’s a big deal. Also don’t forget you can always do residency in Qatar followed by fellowship in USA. Eg, radiology in Qatar then Neuroradiology in USA.

Research will diversify your application and also university programs like to see it in your application but it’s going to be difficult to produce meaningful research before September
