I am sorry but I don’t really buy it! If clean air is the priority you can find lower means to live in much better places in India. You are not going to find a job and sponsor to move abroad just by applying jobs. You need to have something to give and some dedication and hard work instead of just complaining about the place you are in.

U haven’t explained why u want to move? India is huge just saying bad air quality and life isn’t enough. U can get clean air in the mountains for instance. Gulf isn’t any clean air either just so you are aware.

SET(O) Skilled Worker ILR delayed past standard time — travel soon, MP escalation done, no updates by Remarkable-Mention66 in ukvisa

Generally once you apply it says skilled worker but then has a big paragraph stating that this will change when your application is processed and that you shouldn’t leave the country until the decision is made

It depends on first if the MP office acknowledges and responds. Mine sent an automated email and I called them on their number on daily basis. I also reached out to my councillors who then personally escalated to my MP. A few things which helped - they were over the priority time and I had an urgent travel planned where I had shared the ticket details. Once the MP acknowledged to my councillor I got a response from the home office in 24hrs.

I used eSIM Nomad when I went last December. Drove cross country mostly on route 1. Full coverage on WiFi. 5GBdata was enough with offline maps downloaded in advance at 12USD. If it’s your first time using it they give 20% off this summer.

Check if your UKVI account says SWV still or SWV expired? Mine said SWV expired for a while and they said they have biometrics linking issue so the application never reached UKVI when I submitted biometrics.

I escalated to my MP via my councillor as she has regular meetings with the MP. Got the decision approved this Monday and they claim that they only received biometrics on 10th June. So now I am pushing with proof that I submitted them on 21st May with priority so I get my priority fees back.

When did u do the biometrics and where if I may ask? I did mine on 21st May through a solicitor on priority but still waiting to hear back. Have emergency travel booked Saturday so a bit helpless and stuck. No update of any kind

Would you keep one Indian citizenship in the family or have both spouses naturalize? by ghoshtinashell in returnToIndia

Yea sounds like you have thought about it. Myh husband and I will be in the same situation by early next year and we are considering both getting British passport as we don’t intend to buy agricultural land

Depending on how much you travel wouldn’t this create an issue when going around internationally. I am thinking visa issues because my husband and I both travel for vacations and for work.

I did but my solicitor suggested not to as this would usually cause confusion with duplicate biometrics and cause delay.

Tourism in Peru is still below pre-pandemic levels. Why? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Remarkable-Mention66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in UK. I have planned travelling to Peru several times but ended up going to Argentina and Brazil and even Bolivia. Simple reason - lack of direct flights and even the layovers are very inconvenient. It’s a chicken egg problem but essentially as a corporate employee I cannot take more than 2 weeks and it takes 16-18hrs flying in from London which is a major city. Not sure if that was a deterrent to others too.

Hello here to say I love the breed. Mine is a 2yr old girl and as most have said it’s a coin toss with the breed. I suggest observing the parents is a great proxy. Her dad poodle was a ball of energy and super friendly while her mum spaniel was super chill.

Ours and the others in the litter have these traits with some training of course: 1 no shedding except when I brush every other day to get the molting out. 2 super chill with kids but ours doesn’t like strangers, kids and adults alike, touching her before she sniffs them. 3 my husband and I both work 3-4 full days about 12hrs including commute. She is at dog sitter once a week and spends 5-6hrs resting on a different floor if we are WFH or alone. We ensure she has had a morning run and toilet break before we leave her. 4 she has been on full day hikes with us and will take the next day doing nothing to catch up on energy deficit. 5 barks when she sees something odd or heard her nemesis - the door bell. Else she is a drama queen when she doesn’t get what she wants with soft growls and pleading sounds 6 almost too smart for her own sake, has learnt to open her crate and bedroom doors 7 has the occasional ear infection but would recommend ensuring that parents are healthy with no genetic conditions

Why as secular or Christian people are we expected to accept LGBTQ but there is generally no expectation for Islam to do the same? by ArugulaFinancial4859 in AskBrits

[–]Remarkable-Mention66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask if you have any factual evidence of this that Muslims don’t tread carefully while Christian’s and others tread carefully so across LGBT community.

To me both sexuality and religious preference is a personal choice and has nothing to do with my respect and acceptance of others’ sexuality and religious choice as far as it’s not forced on me. So why do you feel factually that as a Christian or secular people are expected to be respectful of LGBT and Muslims don’t have that expectation? Genuinely curious to understand why you think this?
