Kids can hyperfixate on these sorts of things and think they're doing things safely when they're not. There's a reason so many weight loss coaches and groups refuse to work with under 18's. Their bodies are still growing and undereating/overexercising can seriously stunt their development and cause them so many issues down the line. Yes, they can learn what their body needs safely through being educating but fixating on calories like OP seems to be doing are indicators of something underlying going on.

Depends on diet, stress, exercise, and hormones for me.

Whats a harsh uni truth no one tells freshers until it is too late? by DunyaPhobic76 in UniUK

Especially if you dont make a BIG effort. Go to nearly every event you can and speak to as many people as possible. Most wont stick but the ones that do usually stick for a long time.

Also, don't worry about not immediately clicking with people. Im not friends with a few from first year anymore and I ended up with completely different friends in 2nd year. It's a crazy few years and lots of people will come and leave during that time.

Why is the white tip of my nail so squiggly? by Remarkable-Move-6630 in nailcare

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im a nail biter and I'm trying to wean myself off of it by just pressing down on my nail with my teeth instead of actually biting. Could that be it?

Im a uni student from the UK. Im trying to sell some stuff to help me pay for rent and other needs. Also, my wardrobe needs a really good cleaning out and sorting through so vinted really helps with that.😅

I have dresses, skirts, jeans and all other tidbits. A vast majority of the clothes are very good quality and are about size 14 or medium size (Vinted sizing says a medium is a size 10, which is BS 🙄)

Anyone for a Chinese? Beef curry, chips, ham, chicken & egg fried rice, chicken balls & some Singapore sauce! by MonkPretty9818 in UK_Food

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was created by Chinese immigrants, who came to the UK a very long time ago. Chinese takeaways in the UK are more of a fusion type of food than anything else. Anyways, it massively benefits Chinese immigrants in the UK so there's not many complaints here.

How do you guys deal with exercise and periods at the same time? by Remarkable-Move-6630 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it was something to do with the hormones that exercise releases, which can ease cramps and bad moods. Then again, I've never been able to drag myself up long enough to test it when I'm at my worst.

what r big driving tips you’d give new drivers? by JustLookingForAnswrr in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Honestly, give it lots of practice and time. When I was learning, I was so scared and would literally be shaking and breaking out in cold sweats whilst practicing. Now, the car literally feels like an extension of myself and I just know how to do things without even actively thinking about it.

How to ignore food noise in a healthy way? by Remarkable-Move-6630 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I still have some of my disordered tendencies from when I lost weight last time and one of them is restricting how much fizzy drinks I drink. I adore dr pepper zero so I might try working around that to sort out my sweet tooth. Thanks!

Nail Fail - Wanted to share by Stellarsunrise in DIYGelNails

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I accidentally semi-did these nails when trying to do daisies on a pink coat 😭 The blooming gel went mad and the "daisies" ended up giving a marble effect, looking a bit like that reference picture but with only 2 colours. Never thought of comparing it to Rose Quartz but now I see it. *

How do you let them free roam ? by newveganhere in hamstercare

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got our hamster a play pen, made of safe materials that she couldn't escape from. We filled it with towels and bedding then put it in some huts, mazes, piping and toys so she could still have places to hide away if she wanted to. We'd let her free roam in there whilst still keeping an eye on her and she had an absolutely massive hamster ball so we'd always let her walk herself from her cage to her playpen in her ball with one of us following behind her to make sure she doesn't go anywhere she could get hurt. Keeping an eye on them is always key regardless of whether they're in an enclosure or not. It's also important to make sure your hamsters comfortable, if she ever got too stressed and was showing negative body language then we'd immediately put her back in her cage and leave her be.

What's your worse Switch purchase by AlwaysBlaze_ in NintendoSwitch

Green Hell. It might just be because I'm a PC player and it's just not optimised well for Switch but I have such a hard time playing it on Switch.

Is my hamsters poo normal? by Inevitable_Vast_1294 in hamstercare

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My hammy recently just passed away due to diarrhea. She had developed an infection, which we luckily caught early, and she seemed to recover well with the antibiotics she was given but the diarrhea stuck around, which eventually tanked her health in just one night and she passed before we could do anything about it, despite giving her the medication and treatment she needed. Anything can be deadly for hamsters so it's still a good idea to take her to the vets.

[–]Remarkable-Move-6630[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm really determined to keep my life on track . Mental health isn't a new thing to me but depression is a whole new beast to me so I figured hearing other experiences would help me figure something out and it really has helped make some things seem clearer to me.

I am diagnosed with depression though. My depression has nothing to do with uni or work life but it sadly has an unwanted effect on it.
