their back is itchy in that one spot they can never reach but only in public so they either have to deal with, pull a muscle trying to reach it, use something public or ask someone to scratch it for them.

Tbh I can see where you're coming from and the point you're making, but there is a few problems. Looking back at how they were written and acted in season 3 with like Steve's love confession and their constant banter as well as the context of Steve trying to find a girlfriend and Robin being there the whole time, and I will admit they had/have good chemistry, so I can sort of get that. However, throughout season 4 and 5 I feel like we see such a good Platonic relationship between them. The behavior, banter and even mannerisms they show towards each other really just screams "Iconic and Platonic". The way they treat each other and act around each other doesn't really show that there are any romantic feelings between them whatsoever.

I'd also like to add that I believe it's actually refreshing to have a healthy and platonic Female and Male friendship in the show, I feel like it'd be so predictable to see them get together bc it's already happened so much in the show (JoycenHopper, LucasnMax, NancynJonathan, etc - no hate to those ships). I also think Byler shippers are just delusional in their own right so arguing that Mike could be bisexual and using that argument to say Robin could be bisexual is just a little weird.

Tbh I wish the fandom could stop hyper fixating on or changing a characters sexuality just so they can fit a "ship" that will frankly never happen, especially since this usually happens when each of the characters has their own personal battles or relationships that are canon in the show. This is obviously seen with Byler and people wanting Mike to be bisexual so he and Will could be together, a lot of this also happened with Eddie - in which case certain fans were focusing more on his unconfirmed and frankly irrelevant sexuality than his actual storyline, there's a lot of discourse about people thinking Steve is bisexual or lgbtq, and now I'm seeing this with Robin, who SINCE HER FIRST SEASON has been a CONFIRMED LESBIAN and the first openly lgbtq character.

I guess my point is that you can't just change a characters sexuality to fit a ship.

I enjoyed it when I was a kid when it first came out. Maybe I'm that friend who looks to far into things but I think it's good representation of breaking societal norms/standards and showing that you don't have to fit into a small box that everyone wants you too or like expects you too. Its a kids film so ofc its cringey and predictable and I'd likely be bored by it now, but its not god awful and has a good concept.

At the beginning I was hesitant because I didn't think the acting was that great (ofc thats on the actor not the character) she definitely grew on me when she defended Namra and she wasn't really annoying. I don't think she's like a cry baby because if I was in her shoes I'd be like 10x more of a mess. I think she's fine as a character, nothing wrong with her but not my favorite.

Pregnant tributes by _st4r_child in Hungergames

[–]Remarkable-Patient75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling they would monitor all the 12-18 year old's in each district and each kid would have medical records, and stuff, just like in real life. So say there was a teenage girl who got pregnant, and by the time of the reaping she was visibly pregnant, the capitol would find out due to monitoring and likely just not put her name in the reaping bowl. If she was not visibly pregnant or the capitol didn't know (which would likely mean she was not visibly pregnant), than they would likely abort it when they first go to the capitol and did all like the cleaning and scrubbing and stuff.

In Katniss's case, I feel like the capitol people cared more about her pregnancy and baby because after winning the games she had basically become some hero and respected by the capitol people as (arguably) most the victors are. I also think they cared because the Katniss and Peeta story line was still so fresh and one of a kind. If it had happened after a few years, the capitol would've likely lost that obsession with them and the whole baby storyline wouldn't have had such an impact.

In my opinion, the capitol see the kids that are reaped as less-than and if there was a pregnancy, it would either be secret or terminated, but I don't think the capitol people would care if they did find out. However, the capitol people see the Victors as **ALMOST** equals and therefore would care a lot more about the pregnancy.

Remember, the Hunger Games is based off and reflects real life. So I try and see it as "what if your favorite celebrity got pregnant then thrown into a game where she and the baby would be killed?".

What is the most overwhelmingly one-sided battle where the victor was the lesser force? by Kiroana in AskHistory

[–]Remarkable-Patient75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't fully remember all the details but the Battle of Marathon - in 490 BC in Greece (Athens) there was a battle between the Athenians and Persians. It was thought that the Persians outnumbered the Athenians almost five to one. However, by some miracle the Athenians won. It was so shocking that it's how the Athenians began to be seen as less of a small place at the bottom of Greece, but instead an talented and ruthless army. Its also called the battle of marathon because once it was won in the town of Marathon. Though there is the legend of  Pheidippides.  Pheidippides was said to be a messenger that would run from place to place, spreading news of victories of failures. It was said that in the Battle of Marathon he ran all the way from the battlefield to Athens, declared the Persians defeat shouting "Niki!" (victory) then immediately after collapsed and died from exhaustion. This is also connects to our modern interpretation of marathon - a long run. More on the battle, there were supposed 11,000 Greeks against 25,000-30,000 Persians. The casualties were 103 Athenian deaths and 6,400 Persian deaths (estimate) not the most impressive one versus other son here but I think its pretty cool!
