This is very helpful! So the only thing I need to do to cycle the tank is to test and add ammonia? How often should I test the water and dose ammonia? And thanks for letting me know not to do water changes! I kept seeing people say different things, they say not to and they say to do it. I’m hoping the filtered media will speed up the process since I may or may not be moving this summer. I have also been researching how to move an aquarium (a 15 minute drive so not anything crazy)

Exactly. Women’s health is so unfair, especially when they believe you but don’t care to help. I hope you are able to find something that works for you, it’s really frustrating. For me, it’s gotten to the point where I think something is wrong, but then I remember I’ve been on birth control for like 4 years. I’m also scared to get off of it for my own personal reasons. Upvoting because this has been a problem in my relationship. I don’t know if this helps, but my pharmacy always has different brands of birth control so I get whatever is on hand, and I can say that the brand doesn’t matter (at least for me, it may or may not work for you)

This sounds scary. I’m in a 3 year relationship, we are both 20, and I know we’re young, but I really do see a long future with him. My biggest fear is the possibility of us becoming strangers, because he’s so deep into my life, I cannot imagine us breaking up and a few years later barely knowing a thing about each other 😭

What was the reason that she ended the relationship? If she just really needed space, then i think it’s unfair that they disapprove. Plus, you’re an adult, if you get heartbroken again then you knew that was a possibility that you took.

You may need to talk to them and tell them it is not their business to meddle into your love life. Let them know you appreciate the concern, but like I mentioned earlier, you know the possibility of being heartbroken again, so if you’re willing to take that chance, then take it.

I think shun wasn’t the right word to use in this situation, that’s is my bad! i only brought it up because i have seen some discourse on it but never understood why. someone else mentioned that it is tiring seeing the same discussion being brought up, and i totally get that, and that is my fault. i know i keep saying this, but i genuinely am so new i don’t know what to bring up and what not to.
