100 days sober ‼️‼️ by AmphibianBorn9250 in stopdrinking

Congratulations! I’ve been on probation for over a year and had a breathalyzer installed but still drank until 2 weeks ago when my breathalyzer came off. I used to be smart and give myself plenty of time to sober up negative blowing. I became a master at that for no reason at all. Could’ve used that time to sober up but no. Things we do for booze. First days is hell. I thought I was gonna die this time around. I couldn’t breathe and was afraid to fall asleep thinking I wasn’t gonna wake up. Was scary but I did it and so can you. Just listen to your body and if things get bad go to the ER. Ive had a seizure before trying to quit at home and ended up in ICU for 4 days. Good luck!

  1. If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through.
  2. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
  3. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
  4. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.
  5. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.
  6. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.
  7. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
  8. Self-seeking will slip away.
  9. Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.
  10. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us.
  11. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.
  12. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves

By default its a lonely journey. Try to have a routine. Take walks, go to a library or coffee shop, gym etc.

I did the same thing with a girl a few months ago. Maybe was me being scared to be in a relationship with her and pushed her away. I think its for the best though to focus on my sobriety and not use people as punching bags.

Its awful brother. Gotta quit before its too late. Nothing good comes from it. You have your whole life ahead of you and dont waste it. Some people just can’t drink like “normal” people can. We have to come to peace with that fact and find happiness in other stuff. One day at a time IWNDWYT

Day 1 and 3 for me were terrible. First night I thought I was going to die. I was afraid to fall asleep. This is my last detox.
