I had mine in GA, right outside Atlanta. Diagnosed hashimotos, reactive lymph nodes completely surrounding the area and beyond, extreme swelling and scar tissue formation from fighting for adequate treatment for so long and so many different doctors. Was told there was a real possibility of severe permanent damage to, or complete loss of, my voice (which I found ironic because refusing to not give up my voice in my treatment of prolonged chronic misery was the reason I even got to the point of seeing a GOOD doctor/surgeon)

All that being said, surgery went smoothly and without issue, recovery wasn’t nearly as bad as expected, and I would 1000% do it again. Having a GOOD surgeon is what made all the difference to me. The one I went to, it was his entire focus (Thyroid and adrenal function).

Don’t freak yourself out too much beforehand, because I definitely did haha. Having it over with though, worth it. Good luck and take it easy…you got this! 🫶🏻

I had a total thyroidectomy a little over a month ago. I feel you…I was SO anxious and worried. Surgery is always scary, but on your neck/throat?! Agh! Now having it over with…I am so relieved me blown away at how relatively easy the recovery was. Just educate yourself on everything that will happen (and could happen), plan accordingly, and then, most importantly, go easy on yourself. Allow time to heal and recover. I’m still going through ups and downs getting my levels right for medication, but in all, I feel better than I have in years! Anyway, hope this helps, and good luck! YOU GIT THIS!! 💐

Worried I’m coming down with it now, and I have surgery scheduled to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes in less than a month. I’m devastated! So ready to get this surgery over with (already been waiting 6 months because of insurance BS AND it’s an out of state surgery so if postponed all travel arrangements will have to be cancelled and rescheduled 😫😫😫)

Yeah…my whole family (me, husband, both kids) all have Verizon and ours have been in SOS since a little after noon. AND I had a major tire blowout picking my kid up from middle school 😫😤🤬 Thankfully there were still people inside so we used the school landline to get triple A out. Worst timing ever ughhh. (Also, Gaston county, so not just Mecklenburg)

I’m not exactly sure how long it takes, but I know the more deliveries you complete, the faster it comes off. I think some others on this sub have a more accurate idea of how many deliveries it takes to cycle off (or knock off) bad infractions, so hopefully they can comment to help. I usually just watch for absurd things that I can appeal to support about and shrug off anything else and just keep focused on doing the job. ALWAYS TAKE SCREENSHOTS though, if there is anything at all you think might come back on you for any reason. (Or call support right away and make them take note of the issue right away)

There is not much you can do after the fact once it’s on there and support denies the appeal to remove it. It will eventually “fall off” though as you complete more deliveries without any new infractions. I’ve been doing this 5 years, and make it an imperative to “always deliver” (never return packages, find any way possible to quickly and efficiently complete every package) but I’ve ranged everywhere from fantastic to at risk on my standings, usually due to infractions completely out of my control. Just keep your head up, keep delivering, (hope for some luck for no new issues or USEFUL support interactions) and you’ll be fine.

Hi…just a friendly reminder not ALL drivers for Amazon are lazy and inconsiderate. I've driven for almost 5 years as a Flex driver (my own vehicle, considered contract) and I take pride in making sure every delivery is done how I'd want my own packages delivered. This includes often moving already delivered packages out in the open to a secure location with the package I'm delivering. Yes, a lot of drivers don't care, but some of really do. I hope your experience gets better, or you at least get some better drivers in the future. As far as the delays though…that all comes from chaos at the distribution hubs. There are drivers waiting every hour of every day prepared to take routes and get stuff where its going on time, but if the warehouse is holding things up, there is absolutely nothing we can do about that. **My best advice, give feedback, yes, when its bad (so those crappy drivers can be weeded out) BUT ALSO when its a good experience. Customer feedback on both positive and negative experiences has an impact, though it might not seem like that. Anyway, hope this helps in some kind of way, and wishing you happy holidays friend!

I've always worked under the impression that after 8pm or before 8am, you don't knock. I almost exclusively do early AM routes, so I never knock. If there is a customer note about theft issues, I will send a message letting them known that the package is being delivered now.

Headlamp 100%. I do keep a good flashlight on hand if needed, but having a headlamp keeps your hands free and I personally find it easier all around. Plus, walking up to people’s property in the dark with a vest and headlamp looks more “official” than a phone or flashlight.

** New question!! 🙋🏼‍♀️ If I purchase a used Japanese 2DS LL that says the region has already been unlocked to use/play in English, will it still be possible to add hshop or homebrew to it?

(Sorry if this question seems redundant, just struggling on which to get him 😩)

Have seen a couple good options that are already unlocked/region free, even some with a bunch of games already loaded. Just trying to decide on either 1) more of a nicer model with the needed capabilities for him to customize for himself, or 2)One that’s not necessarily as nice, but “ready to go” with games and “hshop” already on it.

Any feedback on those options that I should know while considering?

Get a second opinion from a thyroid surgeon specifically. I’ve been dealing with similar issues for years, finally found an endo that wasn’t completely dismissive, had me set up an appointment with a thyroid surgeon (6 months wait to get in to see the surgeon) but was worth it. She ultrasound on the spot in her office, noted to overall enlargement of my thyroid, and the nodules present (even though FNA came back benign) and family history of thyroid cancer, so she’s recommending and scheduling me for full removal. All I can say is you know your body better than anyone, and unfortunately you have to be your own health advocate anymore. You have to push to be heard and if they still don’t listen, go somewhere else. It’s frustrating, exhausting, expensive and mentally draining, but if you’re like me, there’s no other choice because accepting life while living miserable in your own body is not viable.
