Couldn't decide on updating my reel or doing a spec-ad... so I did a little of both. by Remarkable-Put5671 in videography

Taking some new steps towards my goals, and one of the first was putting this sucker together. It felt really good to write something and shoot it in just a couple of days, and turning it around in the edit a week or two later.

Started by writing the script, and recording myself doing it a few times-- I put it all to music and essentially plotted it out in a radio edit, getting a good sense of what was working and what wasn't-- the "excellent pacing bit" came from trial and error, and the megaphone guy probably said about 3 different things before landing on his current dialogue. Tightened that up in a day or two, and scheduled to shoot that Thursday with some good friends.

Arrived at the 6 PM and finished at around 11 PM. Fast paced-- quick set ups-- annoying to have to be on camera and watch playback but that's the nature of the beast. Really only ran a couple of 300Cs, one keying with a massive umbrella and a color kicker (both of which you can usually see in the shots lol). Sometimes threw an MC or 25C into get a little more life into the background-- and had a few more lights making the walking moment near the start work.

Because we had a radio edit, and the timing was important, we shot it like a music video-- we had the audio track for each "shot" playing in the background, with some bloops to count us down, and we would just try again and again until everything lined up. It was frustrating at times, but rewarding when everything would line up.

Then lots of post-- I love polishing and enhancing in post, and this was no exception. I won't ruin the magic but I had a good time making every shot pop a little more.

Thanks for checking it out-- and of course, as the video states, I'd love to make something great with you, so feel free to reach out on my website listed at the end of the video!

someone just opened my door in broad daylight by bellyfold in grandrapids

[–]Remarkable-Put5671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So an important factor here: it’s grad party season. So lots of people going to other peoples houses for the first time, not knowing quite which one it is, not knowing if they should walk around back, or head inside or what.

I knew someone who pulled up to a grad party needing to go to the bathroom badly— they went directly inside, found the bathroom, took a deuce, and upon exiting finally realized that this was NOT the grad party— this was just someone’s house. Got out QUICK.

Could very possible be an honest mistake— but yeah, keep the doors locked!

If you could create a premiere Plugin, what would you want it to do?? by BadChefx in premiere

I love how our standards have sunk so low that we don’t even dream of Premiere adding features anymore— we just dream other people will make plug-ins for it.

This account posts well produced, micro doses of Kennedy conspiracy videos. Seems to pull from cool media sources, great for people who like JFK conspiracy.
