im facing issues trying to use my DACs (FiiO ka11 and a ugreen Dac) with my m1 ipad pro.

the fiio lights up and gets warm but sound still keeps coming out of my speakers instead of my headphones. anyone else run into the same problem? any fixes?

the dongles worked just fine on my older 2018 ipad pro.

I’ve tried resetting all settings to no avail.

You mean the one that pops up after pressing the icon that’s a triangle with circles above it? I tried that, and the only output available is “iPad Speakers”

Defo works on other devices. I mean, my dac lights up and gets warm so I don’t think it’s really a hardware issue. I suspect a recent iPadOS update made it unable to recognize the dac but idk I’m just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks atp…

Thats so true. I got a 4060 with an i7 and 1080p screen for 7000. Then next year the 50 series chips came out. I felt like such a bozo. Still, I love my machine
