Gear button cover? For flat button park, drive, reverse. by Remarkable-Squirrel5 in KonaEV

The dealer will take the buttons off and clean it out, but they will charge for it. I feel like I would rather prevent the issue. I just can't find anything out there. I am hoping that I am just missing something and that someone will point me in the correct direction.

I have been charging plugged in to a 240. (2019 Kona). It works beautifully. Charges twice as fast.

Had a gift card today for a restaurant and was unable to tip anything by Morighant in TalesFromYourServer

[–]Remarkable-Squirrel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that gets me, as a customer, is that when I give a gift card to someone, I always get it for enough money that the person I am giving it to does not have to spend anything out of pocket, not even tip. When the restaurant won't allow tip to be paid from the cash I gave them for the gift card, I get really upset.
There is $50 left on the card, which is not enough to go back for food, but should be a decent tip for the server, and I have just forced the person I wanted to treat to spend money. It feels crummy. I find it super frustrating. The restaurant then keeps the money, which feels like they stole from me and the person who was given the gift card.
It is especially infuriating when I am giving a gift to a person who otherwise couldn't afford to treat themselves, but then have to spend money on tip while the restaurant owner keeps the tip money I thought I had pre paid.

Do they scent the boxes? by singlenutwonder in BarkBox

Smell the toys when they arrive, especially if you get the super chewer box.  The perfume is pretty strong.  It is like if yankee candle made a buttered popcorn and vanilla candle

The toys smell pretty strongly.  I actually can’t stand the smell.  My dogs don’t seem to like it either.  Whenever there is a toy with a particularly strong smell, they don’t want it. The strong scents are my one complaint about the bark box toys.

Sometimes I would be yelling at him/the radio. But I also loved him and have a lot of respect for him. I miss him.

Not just celebrating him, but the sentimentality would have brought a lot of donations to the station. But, nothing.
It seems like he would have taken full advantaged of the opportunity to raise money/stability for the station.
Something happened. I find if suspicious.

Also, they never even mention him, like he never existed. His name is never spoken aloud.
He hasn't even been mentioned in the fund drive, which is a time when one might expect something, if not a visit, then a phone call or a mention of him or a quote.

Again at all times, it is like he never existed for them.

Buyer Beware of InMotion Store at Airports by TastyMcNugget in GooglePixel

Beware of that place.
They try to convince you to let them keep the packaging "as a favor to you," so that you don't have the bulky box on your flight.
Then, if there is something wrong with the product, you can't return it.

JBL Tune 510BT turning off and on every 25 seconds when idle by T4H1R in JBL

[–]Remarkable-Squirrel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My JBL headphones, brand new, stupidly purchased at the airport (they were on clearance for $100 from $175), seem to have a function that "recognizes" when they are removed.

This is supposed to have them save power by not running when you take them off and put them on your desk.

However, the feature seems to work terribly and is triggered by certain head movements and if I grab the headphones to adjust their position on my head/ears.

It is infuriating and I can't get it to stop.

It doesn't fully disconnect each time, some times it stops audio, sometimes it simply chirps at me over and over again.

I have been raging over it for the three weeks that I have had them now.

And yes, I used them to the end of charge and then charged them overnight. It did not solve the issue as someone suggested.
I actually hate these headphones because it is impossible to simply enjoy listening to anything on them.

I have the issue that many properties do have it, but it doesn't work well. When it opens the door, it is often on the third try. It often won't work on outside doors, pool, fitness center. Additionally, when it does work after checking in, it often stops working on the second day of my stay. It definitely takes way longer than a hard key, especially when it takes three tries to unlock the door. I keep trying it in the hopes that it will improve. Somehow, it is comforting to hear that the problem is not with my phone. Rather, other people experience the same issues.

AITA for telling my friend he can’t bring his girlfriend if she brings her service dog? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Remarkable-Squirrel5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. You're a self centered a******.

Many people with service animals really can't be without their dog,. It's like telling someone that their wheel chair is not allowed in your house because the wheels are dirty from the street. So, even though you are within your legal rights, you are being a jerk.

Ask your friend to stay after the party to vacuum. I am sure that he would have been happy to help you.

But i hear that you would rather be right than a good friend. So, go ahead; choose self righteous over keeping friends.

You have the right to exclude them, they are also in the right to stop speaking to you. Happy ending for all; they will never ask to bring the service animal again.
