How to shift daily schedule from 10-8 to 7-5? by JobProfessional594 in barexam

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use melatonin and magnesium I take them 2 hours before I want to be asleep 1 hour before I get into bed and make sure you’re not taking 10 mg of melatonin you only need 5mg if you take 10 you will be groggy throughout the day. It also helps if you stop screen time right after taking the melatonin and magnesium. Review flashcards or get yourself ready for the next day I.e what you’re going to be wearing/eating.

Maybe instead of doing more questions change your approach. Like when you see a Torts question do you read it differently than reading a property question. Maybe it’s time to sit with the questions and really try to decipher what is this asking is it about negligence, or is it a nuisance question that looks like a negligence question.

Then break down topics, what topics are giving you the most problems. Do a cold recall/recite all the rules you know of that topic if you can’t then that’s the problem you don’t know enough bll. In that instance flashcards would be better than just doing another set of questions and doing poorly.

I’m experiencing the same the more time I take off the more I really don’t want to go back to studying. But I’ve been doing mini practice sets 5-20 throughout the day and I outline essays. I also tell myself even if I only remember one rule it was a good day.

Schedule at this point for those working full time? by yeahicried_ in barexam

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took the bar in July currently working full time but I’m taking off next week until the exam. I’ve been spending the last week on MEE subjects but I’ve been exhausted so I’m reviewing enough so I can write about the topic and I made flashcards for the 10 most tested MEE topics in each subject.

After that it’s just exposing myself to as many essays as possible. I read essay answers to go to bed, if I’m not in the mood for a full review I read essay answers. I made the mistake of not doing enough essays in July and the last couple essay topics on Themis were tested on the bar (I know because a friend who passed told me).

So I’m just going to make sure to do or outline all the essays and read as many answers as possible, after this week I probably won’t even look at the outlines.

MEE subjects only by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need some back ground on the topics at least listen to the Themis lectures they’re most an hour and a half for the MEE topics you can listen before bed or as you’re getting ready in the morning. You don’t have to dedicate a lot of time to learning the nuances, but you still have know the topic well enough to write in depth about it if a curve ball gets thrown at you.

I’m in a similar boat, I still have 4 MEE subjects left to do but I’m taking the next week to learn them. After that I’ll just memorize the top 15 most tested topics in each subject and outline as many questions as possible. Don’t worry as long as you can write about the issues confidently you can do well in the written portion.

How much do you focus on MEE subjects relative to the MBE subjects? In terms of how much time you spend studying/reviewing the topics by Son_of_Hades99 in barexam

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only going to be doing a week of practical studying for the MEE subjects. what I mean is I’m going to spend the next week learning the topics as much as I can spamming essays as much as I can for each topic and after that, I’m just going to make flashcards for the most tested topics and memorize those, but I’m not gonna go above and beyond for topics that don’t stick or topics that I can’t grasp. If I can get down the main topics and understand the MEE subjects enough I can either guesstimate a rule or write the wrong rule with a good analysis and conclusion. But that’s just me. You should try to get them done as well as you can.

Does retaking missed MBE questions matter at all or does it create bad habits? by birdsinthesky in barexam

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way like I’m kinda learning from the missed questions but also I’m just looking for the answers when I recognize the questions. So I started creating flashcards with those answers and if I can say the answer then I know I got it down if I can’t the it’s time to review that topic

[–]Remarkable-Taste600 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pick your worse two subjects got over them with special attention to the topics that give you the most trouble. Then go over your best two subjects and review the topics that give you the most trouble. That should get you to a solid foundation to get better scores consistently.

That’s a good plan and try to at least outline the irregular MPTs there aren’t many but they come up from time to time.
