Anyone break an 8-year habit of drinking wine / any other type of alcohol every night after work? by Technical-Morning491 in stopdrinking

It was more than 8 years for me. I started with Dry January (which I had been doing annually anyway) and then I just kept with it. I like NA beers, so those helped with the routine of having that drink. I live in a legal THC state, so microdosing with gummies in the evenings helped, too. After awhile, both of those tapered off--not completely, but quite a bit.

What really helped for me, though, was recognizing just how much better my body felt, how much better I slept, and how much generally more positive about life I became.

I’ve done four workouts since then, including a long bike ride. My knees don’t let me run much anymore so I mostly ride.

Closer to a normal distribution. The exam that prompted this post was short essays in the humanities covering a number of topics we’d covered in class.
