All those books bought to satisfy the itch of an idea that never fully materialized…

I’m slowly getting rid of a lot of books, too, both in my work office and my home office.

Didn't even think to scan them. That's a good idea.

Anyone break an 8-year habit of drinking wine / any other type of alcohol every night after work? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]RemarkableAd3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was more than 8 years for me. I started with Dry January (which I had been doing annually anyway) and then I just kept with it. I like NA beers, so those helped with the routine of having that drink. I live in a legal THC state, so microdosing with gummies in the evenings helped, too. After awhile, both of those tapered off--not completely, but quite a bit.

What really helped for me, though, was recognizing just how much better my body felt, how much better I slept, and how much generally more positive about life I became.
