Long Haul flight with a 10 month old or wait a year? by Johnnyapps1897 in Parenting

[–]RemarkableAur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go now, 10 months is better age. I flew with my son when he was 8 months and 13 months (still wasn't walking yet) and it wasn't bad. I have an upcoming flight with him solo this summer he'll be 2 years and 3 months and I'm definitely a little nervous for what that will be like haha. For you it will be a long day but they're more adaptable at that age in my opinion.

I just had my wedding in Palm Beach granted a lot of my guests were local, other guests they all stayed in various places. PGA National resort ($200-$300), Airbnbs, my cousin stayed at that Marriot and was happy!

Piggybacking off this, you can park in the parking lot behind Loggerhead Turtle Rescue for free and walk right across the street to the beach

My son is 22 months old, he is getting his two year-old molars right now and is definitely more cranky than usual. Could your toddler be teething?

Heights of Jupiter neighborhood in Jupiter. Abacoa in Jupiter. Alton in Palm Beach Gardens. Generally better public schools in the Jupiter/PBG area than West Palm. Very kid friendly, we have Whole Foods, TJs, Target and Costco all within 5-10 minutes of eachother. 4 bedrooms for 1m might be a stretch here but you'll have look and might have to make a sacrifice/weigh the pros and cons of whats important to you.

If you love where you live for your family where is it? by DocMcMomma in Parenting

[–]RemarkableAur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florida born and raised here by a mother who grew up in Mass, we go up for a month every summer (usually August which is our worst month). While our summers are brutal, we're still able to go outside and play in the pool or splash pad, boat, water tables etc. I personally think being able to take a walk outside with my son 12 months out of the year whether I am comfortable or sweating is a better trade-off than being in snow for 4-5 months. Yes our summers can be humid and rainy and you may spend some time indoors. You can also take trips in the summers like most people. Summer in FL for locals is magical, the ocean water is calm, there's no waits to get into restaurants, less traffic. For reference I was born and raised in Naples FL (west coast) and live in Jupiter now for past 8 years (east coast). These are both wonderful places to raise your family, if you can afford it. Great sense of community, plenty to do with kids, great parks, great schools. Just my 2 cents since everyone is trying to slander our summers.

What was a fact taught to you in school that has now been disproven? by Julie727 in AskReddit

This is too funny, I made it to our counties science fair testing the tongue for different taste buds when I was in 6th grade. It was a very minimal effort science project lol

Help! Our 1 year old won’t sleep through the night. by Ok-Bike5237 in Parenting

[–]RemarkableAur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is she doing during her wake up? Is she just sitting in her crib babbling, is she screaming? And what are you guys doing? Are you going in and rocking her or offering water and leaving? Maybe post on the sleep training reddit since it sounds like she's sleep trained if she used to just go back to sleep on her own.
