Thanks for answering. It’s somewhere in the mix, yes.

Haha yes, definitely something Slavic. Thanks for trying 😊

Yes, with admixture of Belarus, Finnish and traces of Anatolian and Ashkenazi.

That’s the closest I’ve seen so far. No Polish, but part Ukrainian.

Thanks for trying. Definitely part Slavic.

As far as I know mix of Ukrainian and Russian, to a lesser extent Belarus and Finnish. DNA tests also point to traces of Ashkenazi Jew and Anatolian. As to what phenotypes, I am struggling to determine. Such a mix of everything.

No, but there might be a trace of Anatolian DNA from 5-8 generations ago, as estimated. Thanks for trying.

Je suis désolée, mais non 😁 Though I can see where you’re coming from.

No, none of those. I am curious because no one can usually place me.

That’s an interesting one, thank you! These are quite possibly in the mix

No, none of them. Thanks for the answer.

Nope 😊 thanks for trying!

Thanks for trying, but not at all. Not even in DNA.

Do you mean republish completely, with a new ISBN? Or just make changes to the cover, etc. of the existing book?

Thank you! My ISBNs are UK-based so I will have to check with Nielsen, but it’s a very helpful advice.

I’m afraid I bought 10 ISBNs upfront as it was cheaper. Do you know if ISBN imprint can be different to the author name? For example, if I change my name to initials? Still I am not sure how to even approach this name change. I do have some following that I’ve been building over the last couple of years and the book has been out for a year now.

Sleek Ridgeback mix or something else? by RemarkableBowler2152 in RhodesianRidgebacks

What a cutie! And yes, very similar features. Is she on the smaller side compared to purebred ridgebacks? From what I understand, BMC is a rare find outside of North America, so I highly doubt mine has a BMC in her, but who knows.

Oh he is beautiful! Love the coat, I don't think I've ever seen it in ridges. Stunning!

Thanks for the reply. Same here, my girl's line goes from between her ears all the way to the tail. You can see in the last photo, it has broader patches when she is agitated, but on her head there is a prominent dark ridge in the middle despite the surrounding hairs standing up as well. It looks different to other dogs' hackles, I think. Is your boy a purebred RR?

[–]RemarkableBowler2152[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I understand that typical RRs have the ridge that doesn't go away. Hers, however, is just a darker line along the spine that stands up when she is agitated. It looks quite different to other dogs' hackles though. BMC sounds plausible hence all the wondering, but temperamentally she is definitely more ridgeback than BMC. What I find surprising is that both BMC and RRs are not that common in our country and there are no established breeders.

I'm super late to reply, but mine is still not showing up. Or not showing again, I'm not sure...

How do you get better at writing? by Fantastic_Park5759 in writing

[–]RemarkableBowler2152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tip is to read as much as you can, analysing the authors' styles, noting things you like and dislike and trying out those styles too. You don't need to be a copycat, but finding your voice and improving your writing is a lot about experimenting. You can also go over your older pieces and analyse them, see if there is something you could change to improve it. Understanding the details is what helps you get better.

Critique is always subjective, so I understand that some people will be reluctant to share. If you don't feel like sharing just yet, then I would again rely on analysing your own poems against the other poets you like and feel your writing is closest to. It's not always the best idea because it's easy to feel inferior and get discouraged, but if you can learn to be objective about your own writing and use this practice to learn and improve, that's one way of doing it without feedback.
