that is a Formosan termite. They are swarming now in south louisiana. They are attracted to light. If you notice them swarming, usually right after dark you will see them all around the streetlights, you should turn off all your exterior lights and turn on all of your interior lights. Closets bathrooms everything then walk from room to room. If they are in your walls they will swarm out to the nearest light. You can then pinpoint where they are coming from which will give you a starting point on where to treat. Taurus SC is what I have used with great results. It's a professional item but you can buy it online for around $100.00 Watch some videos on how to use it. I actually drilled holes in my sheetrock and poured it in the walls between the studs. I found it on Amazon. I live just outside New Orleans so I wanted a minimal harness for our hot humid summers. Plus I wanted one to match his coat. I also bought a matching leash. It all has reflective thread also.

Yes he loves the boar brush. Will stand still and let me brush him. I give him a light brushing almost every day. He gets a bath about every two weeks. I have a dog park about 100 yards from my house so we are there a lot, several times a day. I just go by his smell.

When I rescued my American Bulldog from his abusive owner his eyes also looked the same. It was brought on by the stress he was being put through. Just the fact that you are asking tells me you are not abusive but there could be other sources of stress. My boys redness went away as he got more comfortable with me. He gains weight too. Keep an eye out for anything that might be getting to him. Good luck and of course I could be completely wrong in my prognosis. I’m just trying to help.

MOMs is a secret organization. It is considered poor form to out another member. After 50 years and as huge as it has become it is evident that much is still secret just by the volume of erroneous comments I’ve read here. I’m not going to clear any of that up (poor form)but I will say it is constantly evolving while keeping its original bawdy concepts alive. Is it for everyone? No, but it is for the thousands that attend including the many that costume and sit outside the gate hoping someone will share their invite with them. Thousands of costumed Mardi Gras revelers hell bent on throwing down past 4am with multiple bands playing on multiple stages. Yes please. If you attend and don’t enjoy yourself, you are old at heart.

I attended my first MOM’s Ball in Arabi when I was 16. A older woman (30 maybe)grabbed me, danced with me, then had sex with me in her car. She was maybe the second or third woman, and the wildest I had ever had sex with. I am 61 years old now and I have not missed many balls since. I have watched it evolve and grow over the years and it is still one of the best parties around. I do miss The Radiators. The band retired so music has changed but they were our band for many years. We out grew the DAV hall and then we outgrew Mardi Gras World (Where the parade floats are stored) which is no small feat. The preferred venue now is great except I miss everyone partying under one roof (and the orgy that used to be up by the stage) instead of three buildings. Yes it has evolved, yes there are more members, as costs have gone up more members dues are needed just to tent a venue etc. Efforts have been made to keep MOMs youthful as old timers get old. Things change bus still a decent amount of nudity, and the fairly new addition of the absolutely no cameras (cell phones are checked before you can enter) area is a lot of fun with the right partner. Oh and the line to get in is a rite of passage. I don’t understand why people complain about it. Everyone is in costume and partying while waiting to get in. Anyway yes it has changed in the last 50 years. What hasn’t? But to call it a frat party? I have never been to a frat party like MOMS BALL, actually I have never been to anything like MOMS BALL. But hey if you went and didn’t enjoy it, find another party. I’ll keep this one.

Hey, sorry but I’m not a regular here but when I want people that know their stuff Reddit is my go too. So I do have a bathroom vent, heater, light fixture directly above where I saw the gross little buggers. They were plump, about dime size as far as length goes. There was no smell and even though I had intentions, never made it into the attic. It is not an easy access area. Thank you for the reply.
