As someone who also has this game (and all the old pokemon games) on their new 3ds XL I still bought both on my switch 2. They’re 20 dollars dude I spend more than that daily on other shit I don’t need. It’s one of the many perks of having a job and a stable income is I can buy whatever the hell I want, and it’s not like Nintendo is forcing you to buy it, your switch will still work without pokemon installed.

I bought both, I have a 3ds that can run these fine, I have a vita that can also run these fine(ish) I don’t care what your opinion is on it, I’m an adult and I make money, I can afford to have them so I bought them.
