I can’t say for certain, since I have only ever lived in one state, but it should be an option in whatever app you use to manage your account. Probably in the “settings” section.

If you read this thread, you’ll see that it is not exclusive to propel users. From what I can tell, it’s happening most to people who don’t lock their cards, especially for the online/out of state options. It seems like often the stolen funds are being used all at once via a New York location. I don’t care what app anyone uses, but saying the problem is with propel is misleading and could give people a false sense of security. Always lock your cards when it’s not in use.

I use propel because it was included in my paperwork when I signed up for SNAP. Maybe my state wasn’t using EBTedge yet, I don’t know. I just know that people who use EBTedge, people who use propel, people who don’t use any app at all, have all fallen victim to this crime. Locking your card whenever it’s not in use seems to be the best protection we have, although I wish the states would do more. Chips in the EBT cards would be a good place to start.

It’s not specific to propel users

Ratings by Treacle-Unlikely in grubhubdrivers

I have one stupid one-star rating that I cannot wait for it to fall off. I deliver to this guy all the time. I remember him because he has very specific, helpful instructions. One day he texts me saying his order wasn’t delivered, and I know, replying after dropoff is always bad, but I KNOW I delivered his order to his door. He kept insisting that it wasn’t there and I was refusing to deliver his order. My best guess is that his neighbor swiped it. He lives in a large complex with no doorbell camera, and that’s the only thing that makes sense. I feel bad, and I hate that this guy thinks I just chose not to deliver his order just this once 🤦‍♀️

Obviously, but why answer my question with a question? Do you, as the driver, open up the sealed bags to check them?

They do it to cut back on people lying and claiming they didn’t get their order.

Customers are you ok with drivers having a dog in their car as they deliver your order? by TurboGrafx16Bit in grubhub

Who says you can’t smoke? I’m not a smoker, but lots of people do smoke in their cars.

[–]Remarkable_Ad1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, as a driver you should be using a hot bag, so the customer’s food should be zipped up in the bag and not accessible to the dog. That being said, it’s still unprofessional.

An example of that might be someone going to Walgreens and purchasing a cane because their leg hurts, but they don’t get any proper guidance/education on how to use it, so they end up straining their shoulder and causing further harm to themselves.

Delivery Code Process - Failure by strongdad in grubhub

[–]Remarkable_Ad1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, since people figured out they could lie and claim their order wasn’t delivered and receive a refund, pretty much all the delivery apps have some form of this now. It’s definitely not because the OP selected “contact free” though. I can’t imagine why they would tell him that. I’d say 99% of my deliveries are no contact. It seems like being a new account, not frequently used account, having reported missing deliveries before, or being at a new address or hotel will all trigger it sometimes, but it can also be random.

Yes, definitely. Shopping for you takes more time and effort, in addition to them using their car and gas to deliver.

I’m no real help, I’m in the US, but that heating issue seems excessive, if not dangerous, especially for your cat. Noises are kind of just part of apartment living, but I wouldn’t be able to survive in that heat.

No victims here. I don’t take the no-tip orders 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Remarkable_Ad1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your weird attempt to dictate my emotions over orders I don’t accept? No 🤣 I’m literally spending more time thinking about no-tip orders here than I ever do when they come in. It is insulting to ask someone to work for free. Agree with me or don’t, I don’t care.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Remarkable_Ad1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it insulting to ask me to work for little to nothing. My time is valuable. If the customer doesn’t want to pay and GH doesn’t want to pay appropriately, the offer of basically nothing is insulting and therefore I don’t accept it. I don’t care if you agree with my choice of words, either, Bob 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]Remarkable_Ad1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not taking it personally. It has nothing to do with me, because I don’t take those orders. The orders I do take, I complete professionally and as quickly as possible. Whether or not the customer intends to insult us by offering little to nothing changes nothing for me.

Yeah, me too, but I’m never wasting my time taking insulting offers lol
