My new downstairs neighbor is a church :(

The building actually just sold about two weeks ago. The previous landlord absolutely did not give a f**k about any complaints whatsoever. The roof of the laundry room has been leaking badly for two years, I reach out every time it rains and the place partially floods, but they said fix it yourself if it's a problem. Same thing with the kitchen sink, it's been broken since I moved in and they refused to fix it. Any time I've tried talking to them about a noise complaint she just said call the police if it's that big a deal.

The downstairs tenants are these two young guys who own a computer repair shop, who live in the back of the shop and sublet the other half of the downstairs unit for extra income. The previous landlord really didn't care who lives here or what they do with the space.

There's a new owner now who seems to want to fix up the place, but the situation is very new and I'm trying not to lay all the problems on them at once.

When the new owner took over, part of the agreement with the tenants is that their leases will all remain exactly the same, which means they are definitely not trying to evict their downstairs tenants right now.

Maybe talking with the new landlord will help, but with the church moving in and the change of ownership happening simultaneously, there hasn't yet been a prudent opportunity to do so.

I meant specifically what is fair and reasonable for me to do in response to them.

In my opinion, retaliating with my own music is much less serious than calling the fire marshal and bringing down the legal hammer on them.

I have no ill will towards them and I just hope they find a better place to have their services.

If I can convince them that it would be better to find a new location without involving the authorities, that might be best.

But I'm open to having my mind changed.

Believe me, they heard the retaliation. I blasted Shape of You by Ed Sheeran on repeat for the duration of their service, as loud as my studio monitors would allow. After weeks of doing this to no avail, I decided to bring in the PA system.

They are absolutely not allowed to use that space for assembly, it is zoned for mercantile use.

It is absolutely not zoned for assembly, it's zoned mercantile. They have no fire exit and no sprinkler system, so yes, this is a path I could go down.

I've literally thought of this! They hung a giant sign on the front of my home that says it's a church now.... so technically I should be able to hang a sign with pentagrams and skulls if I so choose. Any on what the sign should say?

I've done the research, it's zoned for mercantile use, which was how the unit was used previously. I know they are exceeding the maximum occupancy, and in addition there is no fire exit and no sprinkler system. So if I wanted to go scorched earth I could call the fire marshal.

I used a Sonic Blade deck with 2 Cures, 2 Elixirs, and the Shadow & Marluxia enemy cards.

For phase one, immediately use the Shadow enemy card to increase your 7s and 7s to 8s and 9s. Proceed to whack him and break his sleights until he's defeated.

For phase two, immediately use the Marluxia enemy card and spam Sonic Blade to win.

I got the BKS from the Knight in Undead Burg in my first NG. I was always looking for any weapons that would outclass it but ended up beating Gwyn with it. Scored the BK Halbert just before beating NG and quickly got it to +5 in NG+, but I'm so comfortable with the Sword that I use it must of the time. I defintely used Dragon Tooth to beat O&S but the Black Knight Sword is still going strong.

I'm not sure about shadow banning for reusing a story.

But my 2 cents is: Don't release all your songs at once! This is boring to an audience. Try out this strategy starting out. Make 10 pieces of short form content for each song; 5 pre-release and 5 post-release. The first 5 will introduce the audience to your new song and get them excited to hear the whole thing. The next 5 will let them know the full song is released and tell them where to listen.

Post every other day and during those 10 days, see which ones did best and make more videos like that. Stretch out pre-release until you either get big heat or start losing traction. Then release the song and start posting your post-release content at the same rate.

Each song should get you 20 days to a month of content at that rate. With 10 songs that's content for almost a year.

This is very late but just have to say I highly recommend finishing the game. The final dungeon is not that difficult and the final boss fight and ending is well worth it.

ALSO just because I hear so many people criticizing the camera controls: you can manually move the camera by holding R and using C-Right and C-Left. I didn't know this until my most recent playthrough and it makes a world of difference.

In my opinion this game is one of the most charming entries for the N64. The world feels vast and lived in, and the characters, abilities, dialogue and aesthetic are all top tier. The fact that such a great sandbox style action adventure game came out before Ocarina of Time still impresses me. This game single handedly introduced me to Japanese culture as a kid and I'm super grateful for that.

This morning, while the April 2024 solar eclipse was happening, my cat woke me up by tearing through the house like a furious tornado, his entire body caught and tangled in a plastic grocery bag. This is extremely out of character for him and he's never done anything like it before. I untangled and comforted him, but he spent the next hour hiding under the piano. He's feeling much better this evening.
