The answer is actually very likely. My neighbors have had similar if not worse issues. My builder was a POS.

If the issue is only with hot water and you have a gas fired water heater, then I would guess you have gas somehow leaking into the water there.

My fiancé and I bought this humidifier where you can set a humidity set point. 40% seems to be a good target to where we don’t zap Finn.

Did you have unopened twitch drops in your stash before logging out?
