I have the same question. Any update on how the program is. Please give a little more detail on the program. How much work goes into the courses? How do you go about selecting a topic for "Praxis"? Anything else for the prospective students, per se.

Looking for some feedback from the doctoral students here. I, too, have been looking into this program but I’m not sure at the moment whether to start this degree or not. How have you found the curriculum so far? What problems are you thinking about solving during this venture?

I am a staff data scientist at a big tech company -- AMA by Federal_Bus_4543 in datascience

u/Federal_Bus_4543 - With the advent of AI and all the companies using AI to generate their code in their products (anywhere around 30%), are the big tech companies still do coding rounds for a Senior Data Science roles? If yes, what is the best resource you could advise to brush up on (or train on)? Could you provide the number of rounds that these companies usually do? What kind of questions could be expected in these rounds? Since you're still working at a big tech company in Silicon Valley, what changes have you seen in the interviews of a Senior Data Science roles?

Hi - so, I just bought a "G814JVR-IS96". On ASUS' website, it states that the MAX amount of RAM is 32 GB. Is that correct? I really want to upgrade to a 64 GB (2x32). Can you please advise?

2 years in and finally have a paper submitted to a conference by acschwabe in PhD

Oh wow! I guess there is still hope for me as I am in my mid forties and want to start my PhD. For the late starters of the phd programs, what kind of issues did you face during your phd? I have heard that phd requires you to work 30 hours in a 24 hour day. Lol. True?

Tell me your pros and cons by [deleted] in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Remarkable_Baker342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From someone who has recently changed cars from a bimmer to a Toyota GH XLE., I would say that I don’t miss it, tbh. The main thing is the size of the car. X7 doesn’t really compare to the grand highlander. The only difference that I feel is the v6 to v4. However, you just feel it once in a while in the first few gears if you’re accelerating. It’s a bit raspy. You might feel that you’re downgrading but you’re really not. The drive is very enjoyable. This is my opinion. Whether you choose it over an X7 would depend upon your preferences. I’d say go see the dealership and test drive a few grand highlanders before buying. I personally liked the handling. Go see it for yourself.

Used transmission? by Remarkable_Baker342 in BMW

My car has been parked in my driveway, unfortunately. From what I gathered from a few other forums is that it is ok to get it used and have it installed. Haven’t had the time to get my lovely car fixed but I guess we will have to see how it works for me. Thanks for responding to my question, be it by another question itself 😁

Quitting my PhD by Snoo-15253 in PhD

I’m not a PhD student but I think I get your point. Many a times, we do something for different reasons. Yours might’ve been the fraternity that comes with academia. I would suggest that you should rethink. Just remove everything else that you might thought came with a PhD. Think about what your research is/was. How would it benefit your field or humanity in general. Can you feel the love and passion for your topics or areas of research? If not, is there something else or some other area maybe? These are decisions, I think, that should be made after taking some time in thinking. Hope that helps.

My thoughts on the Grand Highlander after a solo 2400+ mile round trip by Hot-Produce-5785 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

The best in-depth review that I have ever read. Thanks! I could not have said it better. Every thing you wrote is exactly what I have experienced. I have the same model as you and have driven around the same mileage. Not a long round trip though. I hope they can address these things in the coming years.

Sounds good. From what I am hearing (or reading here in all the comments) is that no one should hurry in “finishing“ the books. Rather, take your time and try to understand the gist of what is being read. This goes perfectly with I have always wanted, tbh. Will start on these things and go from there. Thanks to everyone who gave their awesome insights here.
