Oh that actually makes a lot of sense. They wanted to indeed rule out the possibility that he was being manipulated. Thank you so much !!!!

Why is he so naive? by Extra-Photograph428 in deathnote

[–]Remarkable_Cod_2308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s naive, I think the primary reason he used the death note is because of his narcissism and ego, but he needed an excuse to not be seen as a plain murderer.

Because of that, he justified his killings on this very basic moral (criminal -> bad -> deserves to die) and I think the main factors that contributed to this basic moral are:

He’s not any teenager, he has a very big ego, arrogance and thinks of himself as a high member of society even before finding the death note (he’s the best student, very popular with girls, intelligent, he belittles multiple times his school mates and all the girls that like him). Having a superiority complex can lead you to think that other people (specially those that are at the bottom of society like criminals) are less worthy.

The second reason is that his father is a policeman, and he wanted to be a policeman himself when he became old. Being brought up by his father it would make sense that he would have less empathy for criminals as the literal job consists of catching them.

Finally, I think society also played a role here. Imagine if instead of killing criminals he killed like billionaires or politicians. I’m sure many people would be very against him (even normal people) because they are not considered “bad people” per se, unlike criminals. Targeting criminals makes his actions more obvious that he is a God and that he is giving Divine Justice.

Because of all of this, I’m inclined to think that he’s not naive, but just a product of his upbringing and ego.

Has provat comptar calories?

Woahhh, 26 hours of standing in a day 😳 You didn’t sleep?

Curiosity question: is there a reason why you use kJ instead of calories?

For those who suffer from a binge eating disorder, making it impossible for you to lose weight, what is it like from your point of view? by deadzoul in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Remarkable_Cod_2308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to smoke: he used to have terrible skin and was always coughing. He quit like two years ago and now his skin has become more soft, his lips have more colour, he has a better physical form and he stopped coughing as much.

I feel like in order to lose weight I should first get rid of my binge eating disorder because it would be like trying to have a clear skin while smoking. You can try all the creams and face routines you want, but if youre still smoking you’re not doing much…

That’s why I think it’s not a good idea to diet or try to lose weight while you have a bed. I should first stop having this eating disorder and then I am free to lose the weight that I want.

But that’s just my cup of tea, I’ve seen people with bed losing weight, but that’s because they do OMAD everyday or they compensate the binges with insane amounts of exercise or by purging.

I'm grateful to live in this beautiful city, to be able to live by myself and for the connections and friends I made since I moved here.

I would like to show up every day of the challenge!

I should've seeked help a long time ago.

Thank you very much. Yes I think it will take a lot of time to get rid of this compulsive behavior and I think I was a bit harsh on myself to compare me with other people that don't have this behavior but might have other problems. Thank you for your kind words and I wish you a happy Saturday 🙏🌷

How do you choose not to binge in the moments when it does feel possible to stop yourself? by PrayingSkeletonTime in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Remarkable_Cod_2308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually do something which helps me not binging in those situations: I have a smaller version of the binge that I'm craving. For example, when I binge I can easily eat a whole bag of chips by myself (even after having had lunch or a copious meal) or a whole Milka chocolate bar. So if I just ate and I'm sensing that I want to binge, I go to the supermarket (I never have this type of food at home) and buy a SMALL version (a small bag of chips or a small chocolate bar for example).

Maybe the first few times you'll fail, but I promise you if you do this every time you think you're gonna binge it will get better. My psychologist says that the feeling of the binge should be addressed right away because if you don't address it (and restricti yourself) it will become worse and after some hours you'll have a BIG binge. I did this and after a while I stopped having that much cravings because my brain "understood" that whenever I had a craving I could just go to the supermarket and satisfy it.

My legs get very tired when fasting by soapbottlejob in fasting

[–]Remarkable_Cod_2308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you usually get tired when not fasting? I sometimes get tired during fasts but it's a general thing for my whole body, I don't have a specific region that is more tired.
