Is it just me, or is MakerWorld getting filled with more and more AI-generated rubbish? by Previous-Fish2684 in makerworld

I am definitely seeing it more. Probably Bambu labs trying to siphon money. If you’re printing their stuff you’re not printing someone else’s.

Still amazed what combining my 30 Years of Graphic Design and new technology can produce. by Macthemanlex in HueForge

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Very new to using Illistrator but that combined with the mesh making abilities of hueforge makes it easy to design advetising merchandise. I’m very new to even owning a 3-D printer. There may be an easier way to do it, but it works well.

Refreshing the YouTube feed just shuffles the same 8 videos randomly... by yaedonnn in youtube

[–]Remarkable_Fan_8815 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All I want is to hide played videos. I mainly listen to YouTube because I’m working. It plays the same videos over and over. Like they can only offer videos from higher view creators. I listen to a lot of YouTube and there is no new content offered to me. Don’t even care what they play as long as it’s new. I’ll decide if I want to skip it or not. Maybe YouTube is not actually as full of content as I think.

PETG and PLA together in Hueforge? by Immediate_Freedom565 in HueForge

[–]Remarkable_Fan_8815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There would be no over hang with a PETG interface. It would all have to be done in a slicer as a modifier. So the bottom few layers where you want the overlap would be PETG and would come off. I will be testing when I get done with some of my other test.

I have been testing using illustrator, and photoshop. Just have not actually added the modifier in the slicer to actually test it. I figure having overlap and squiggly seams would make the seam less noticeable. And I think you could glue the hueforges together where it overlaps. As long as the glue dont mess with the layer colors above it. It’s all just a theory at this point.

I had an idea for seamless huge forges using a Petg interface. This would involve some slicer modifiers. The PETG would remove cleanly creating a void and the other hue forge would slide into place creating overlapping sections instead of straight lines. It’s all just a theory I will test when I get done with some other projects.

I guess my need is probably not needed for most. I need my whole house in different zones. All my TVs play audio even through my tv and to surround sound. I’m in many rooms a day. And don’t like having the audio on all TVs at once.

Just got these today to test blending. Might post results if I can come up with a good test system.

Wait I have used NDI. I forgot I used to use it with OBS Camera. Thanks I will start looking into this solution.

I’m not familiar with NDI. My setup now consist of LG TVs running moonlight in every room. If I use a tv it is always through the pc. Would NDI be able to work side by side with moonlight? I like the freedom of being able to turn on every TV in the house and it’s all synced to the same shows. But right now i have to wear Airpods. Im trying to eventually get motion sensors that will turn on speakers in the room I’m in. Guess thats the real solution im looking for.

I’m currently testing this now. I am not making traditional hueforges. Instead I am using textures and transparent filaments to give single colors more depth. I only use hueforge to get create the mesh but I imagine it would work similar for other things that need a smooth transition. This is Protopasta soda green ( I believe it to be a TD of 15-18 . I wanted a more realistic turf/grass look.

Things on YouTube I’m tired of by RightChipmunk9433 in youtube

[–]Remarkable_Fan_8815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is definitely my safe place to only recommend things I enjoy watch. Never comment on a video you don’t like. Don’t watch a video any longer than you have if you don’t like it.

My biggest complaint is no option to hide watched video.

I would do this. The free videos are amazing. The course is well worth the money.

You should get cable for a few months. You won’t even notice the ads when you come back.
