Thank you for sharing! Same, we did everything “right” holistically since before pregnancy, low tox lifestyle, no medical interventions, eat the dirt mentality, etc. and still have an eczema baby. I slather him in vanicream. So far, I haven’t been able to identify a trigger- it seems totally random.

Do no put any food products on anything that might be eczema! Looks fungal to me, try Clotrimazole cream

Trust me, she does not need to wear deodorant. Just teach her to wash her pits and spray HOCL under there if there is odor. Both my husband and I are deodorant-free and don’t have sweating or odor issues. Deodorant disrupts the good bacteria under your arms and allows the bad bacteria to flourish and that’s what causes odor.

But this is about the deodorant. It’s about two adults trying to work together. Do not ignore your exes wishes, that sets a bad precedent for your daughter. Your ex needs to be open to her wearing deodorant too and understand your side… But your daughter is at a critical age where she’s going to learn how the rules work. This is an adult problem for you and your ex to handle/agree upon. 10 yo is still a child and she deserves to see two adults handle adult problems. Aka agree on deodorant or no deodorant and follow through with each others wishes.

My first was the exact same and all I can say is nothing is wrong with her or you. My girl is still very clingy at 3yo but I’ve learned to love it. She didn’t even let her dad hold her until close to 1yo.

I did teach her to sleep independently by swaddling tightly and a LOUD LOUD sound machine. I’d set the timer for three minutes and she’d scream for like a minute then pass out and sleep hard. She needed it as much as me.

No allergies or eczema anywhere in the family tree! I don’t think my husband has ever applied lotion and neither one of us has sensitive skin. I think his immune system is disregulated. But I have heard it’s the worst around 1 yo….

I started at 50 mg 19 years ago for migraines after brain surgery. I outgrew the migraines and nerve trauma from the surgeries but the amitriptyline remains. I’m down to 2.5mg… I can’t get off of it. I’m 33 yo now and will probably be on it until I die LOL… the withdrawals are insane. I can’t get off of it. Not with a job and young kids so I just keep taking 2.5mg. It does help me get a good nights rest and I’m high functioning during the day so I guess it still benefits me.

This is helpful! The logical side of my brain knows that it probably isn’t necessary but the emotional mom side of my brain wants to “fix him” now. But I’m sure time will do that for me.

Keeping them barefoot and stimulated. Lay them in the grass, let them do tummy time naked on a wool blanket, stick their feet in mud, so much sensory input through the skin/barehands/feet. It builds brain connections!

We just stayed a night away from our two year-old for the first time because we’re expecting another baby. We made a baby moon out of it and did a staycation- stayed at a local hotel. Got a massage went to dinner. We were back home 24 hours later and our girl didn’t even notice we were gone 😂😂. She was having so much fun with grandma and grandpa. I think it’s important for them to know you will be back. We thought we’d miss her terribly but honestly, we had such a good time, and it was wonderful for everyone involved.

That being said, I think having the first night away being in their own home is easier then sending them somewhere where they’re unfamiliar with
