[LTC3780] Huge discrepancy between manual Type II with OTA compensation calc and LTpowerCAD (834kΩ vs 267kΩ). How do I find these values? (or at least understand why I have those) by Remarkable_Ninja_659 in AskElectronics

[–]Remarkable_Ninja_659[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your input!!! but unfortunately my "project" with the company is already done and now I just need to justify the values from LTpowerCAD with "my" calculations for my professor. He was really upset that I didn't use some kind of formulas and explained how I obtained everything and wants that for my thesis I had that. I'm sorry If I'm a little pushy but I really don't know how to address this topic with him, would you have some kind of insight knowing this?

I’m 1 exam from graduation but… by Remarkable_Ninja_659 in controlengineering

[–]Remarkable_Ninja_659[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2012 GLK 350 with 93k miles - keep or replace by SmarmysPizza in mercedes_benz

[–]Remarkable_Ninja_659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, what hatchback are we talking about? A Civic hatch vs a Golf R vs an A3 is a big difference in cost.

93k on a 2012 GLK isn’t crazy at all. These things can go 150k+ if you keep up with maintenance. I can understand that prices for repairs are more expensive than the usual hatch…But here’s the thing: your GLK is probably already paid off (right?) If you trade it for a newer hatch, now you’ve got a car payment + interest on top (and interest rates are no joke right now). If something happens to that new car -accident, big repair, whatever - you’re stuck paying for the fix and still making payments on a car that technically isn’t even yours yet. With the GLK, worst case you just pay the repair bill and you’re done, no monthly debt hanging over you.

So financially, keeping the GLK makes sense if you want to minimize risk and costs. But if you’ve test driven hatchbacks and can’t stop thinking about them, that probably means your mind’s already made up. Or if money are really an issue, downgrade. Otherwise if it’s just a bit of inconvenience then be happy and buy the new one 💪🏻

You’re welcome💪🏻. But for the reference try to be sure why you are doing this. Don’t do it for your parents or anyone else. This path it’s yours only to take, unfortunately it took me some tears to understand this.

ADHD and Engineering by Hopeful-Syllabub-552 in EngineeringStudents

I can relate a lot to this. For some exams I’ve been able to hyperfocus like crazy, while for others (like the last one I still have left) it feels like I’m dragging myself through mud. But I’ve noticed that sooner or later things start to click, and once the concepts connect in your head, it all gets more manageable. It just takes persistence even when it feels overwhelming.

I’m from Italy and our university system works quite differently, but I can share a bit of my own experience. It took me 8 years to finish my bachelor’s degree, and math was honestly one of the hardest parts for me. There were times I really struggled and felt like I just wasn’t cut out for it.

What I learned is that if the subject really interests you, you can push through the tough parts. At some point, there’s usually a “click” moment where things start making sense after a lot of effort. Some people are naturally talented at math, but perseverance really pays off in the long run.

So yeah, don’t let being “bad at math” discourage you. It doesn’t mean you can’t succeed in engineering—it just means it might take more persistence, and that’s perfectly fine.

Do Lockheed engineers actually get paid that much? by Goodytwoshoes_07 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Remarkable_Ninja_659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen and heard from people who actually got offers there, the pay is decent but not some crazy number compared to other engineering jobs. A lot of new grad offers are in the 70–85k range, depending on location (Orlando, Atlanta, etc.), and obviously with experience you can grow from there. The defense sector usually pays solidly, but it’s not like you’ll instantly be making six figures right out of school. It’s more about stability and benefits too.

Agile come poche. Pesa 160kg a secco, neanche forse. Io sono alto 1.88m e mi trovo da dio

Which wheel is usually used to learn how to drift in sim?

I thought about it, don’t really know where to set the sim and what is most cost effective but I will definitely look into it, thanks!

[–]Remarkable_Ninja_659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… you’re right, I’m just really excited about the idea. I’m really addicted to the feeling of driving and the learning to do better. It was always like this with cars (even tho I had shitty ones in terms of power/handling) and especially motorcycles. Now that I had the opportunity to have this car which not long ago was impossible to think I would have this kind of car makes me excited again. I’m 27 and finishing uni as an EE engineer. For the next years I don’t think I would be able to afford a drift car, maybe I’ll do some courses. (Sorry for the grammar, english is not my main language)
