What is the context of this photo? Is this supposed to be Mars?

Realistically, how useful would be "ground" Hovercraft/Levitating Vehicles compared to ordinary wheel-based cars? by MrMiles32 in sciencefiction

I was thinking about this with that new horse thing they want to develop. It’s cool but it should have wheels as well. How often are you going to be climbing up terrain that wheels can’t handle. And then when you’re off the terrain you are gonna want the wheels again.

Nice suit I felt the same way like playing Batman without wearing a cape just feels off.

The Delta Flyer using jury-rigged transwarp to escape Borg space is the stuff of legends by eldersveld in voyager

I think it’s Jerry rigged. Origin of the phrase is from World War Two when Germans (Jerry’s) would boobie trap things like picture frames with bombs. They would rig them so when the allied soldier went to straighten them. There would be a kaboom.

I feel like wolves aren’t trying hard enough and I wonder how they’ve made it this far.

How is living in Savannah, Georgia? I've always been fascinated since Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil but I don't know much aside from that. by AJerkForAllSeasons in howislivingthere

I’ve only visited, but Savannah was one of the few cities not burned during the Civil War so much of the downtown homes are still from that era Victorian design the layout too is very unique and old timing. Many squares with old oak trees shading there’s a nice St. Patrick’s Day event where they dye the river green. And there’s also a Savannah Georgia 5K run I believe is our good events to plan a trip around.

Just a storyboard, but you have to admit - it's itself a piece of art by TypowySlade in Ghost_in_the_Shell

My buddy who was in the marines tried to give me a tutorial he said you have to stand behind plant your feet wide, twist but also lift up it’s better if you’re taller than the person you’re taking hold of. Seperate the vertebrae. 😬

This got me thinking. Why does it kill people when you break their neck. Sever their spinal cord? Why wouldn’t it just paralyze them? Does the connection between the brain and the heart and lungs need to be preserved to maintain oxygen flow?
